About Us

Founded by two brothers, Runme Shaw and Run Run Shaw, Shaw Cinema was a film distribution company and cinema chain orginating from Shanghai. The brothers ventured into Singapore in the 1920s, initially operating single-screen cinemas subsequently investing in cineplexes to give more flexibility in offering different types of films.
