Shokudo Japanese Coffee House
A unique mixed of seafood and avocado cubes in wafu cream sauce made this dish extremely gratifying
wow! unexpectedly, this place was good. I loved the sushi and yes, they serve waffles too for dessert. Its japanese fusion restaurant that's really nice to try out. :)
must try their dessert .. red bean ice..very nice :)
Tasty food!! Especially the thin crust pizza & tofu cheesecake! Addictive!
Carbonara pasta & chicken ball
Dun think this is small portion
You will feel extremly full after this meal
Went there with friends for lunch. We ordered Teriyaki Chicken Cheese Pizza, Grilled Chicken Curry Rice and Tonkatsu Curry Omu Rice. When the food was arrived, it was really tempting and really nice present. We tried the pizza first, the pizza was light, filling and crispy. The crust was really thin and tastes really good. It topped with teriyaki chicken and cheese. The chicken were juicy and not overly salty. It had a scrambled egg covering the rice. The Japanese curry was served separately and you can add it to your own preference. The portion was big and filling and the chicken was tender and tastes really good with the sauce. The omelette was nicely done, the curry was not too spicy and really goes well with the chicken. Overall, the food was good.
I wonder why the restaurant is called coffee house when it has a wide menu selections ranging from Japanese Western grills, burgers, pasta, pizza, Japanese curry rice, udon, sushi rolls and dessert? Anyway, I met up with my friends and we wanted to have dinner at Nando\'s. There was a long queue and we were too hungry to wait hence we walked over to Shokudo. We ordered a main each and a pizza to share. Both the grilled chicken and tonkatsu curry omu rice were nice. It had a runny scrambled egg covering the rice. The Japanese curry was served separately and you can add it to your own preference. A very enjoyable dish with the rice, egg and curry sauce coming together.
Tossed in wafu sauce and dressed with Japanese Mushroom, this pasta dish was both light and filling.
A unique mixed of seafood and avocado cubes in wafu cream sauce made this dish extremely gratifying. The pizza was light, filling and crispy with ultra thin and crispy crust topped with unagi, mushroom and cheese.
My daughter and I went for dessert at Shokudo. There is a choice of crepes or waffles to go with the ice cream and we choose the waffle since it is more filling. The waffle is also supposedly one of the nicest items on Shokudo\'s desserts according to my daughter who has patronised before. The waffle is made on the spot so it would take some time, and I wasn\'t disappointed. It is very fluffy and light and it tastes very buttery. I thought it is one of the better waffles that I had, even beating those from ice cream joints. The ice cream is quite normal, but I will definitely come back for the waffle.
Having heard that the food here is good, me and my friends went down to Shokudo to celebrate my friend\'s birthday. I ordered the grilled chicken rice set. It looks really good! They separated the curry into another bowl. The portion is big and filling and the chicken is tender and tastes really good with the sauce
Shokudo has a wide variety of dishes. Besides Japanese curry, they also have pizza! Me and my friends ordered one to share recently. This is their mushroom pizza. The crust is really thin which tastes really good and crispy and the mushrooms are juicy and succulent I really love the thin crust which is not too filling and lets you taste the pizza better
This is definitely the first and the last time my friends and I will ever dine in Shokudo.
The mixture of pasta and Japanese food just didn’t blend it well. It is hilarious.
The size of the dessert was smaller than the bottle of tabasco sauce! Oh my goodness, it was the most ridiculous meal ever. We spend around $20 per people. I will definitely won’t go back again.
As I ordered the value meal, i find the price is ok but not for ala carte meal. Overall, the food taste not bad.. the pasta is quite nice and the food was light and delicious. and I totally enjoyed having dinner here. will probably re-visit the place but not for the dessert. You gotta give it a try someday soon if you have not yet dine at Shokudo
Service: Excellent.
With great service, comes great food too
Although it is slightly pricey, but their food was nice.
My usual favorite dish: Vongole Udon in Spicy Soup!
The soup is sweet and love the chilli padi in the soup!
Another dish ordered is Grilled Chicken Omu Rice with Japanese Curry.
Their meat is tender, with the omelette nicely done, not too cooked and sweet curry
My favourite drink: Yuzu Soda.
But I find their Yuzu Soda not as nice as it was not gassy, tasted more like yuzu tea.
but overall, great food!

Title
Teriyaki Chicken Cheese Burger
Comment
The teriyaki chicken cheese burger at shokudo japanese coffee house tasted normal and not that good compared to burger king and handburger for me. The chicken cooked was not that tender but i did felt that the taste of teriyaki was just nice.

The manager of the restaurant serving me was very friendly
she apologized for keeping us waiting for our ice water.
She was very helpful too to help us arrange our food on the crowded table
as there were many huge plates and dishes.
we had jap food at this place
it was really nice
we had rosti jap curry.. curry was dark brown.. taste not bad~ the rosti were well cooked.. crispy and soft inside~
we also had fried shitake mushrooms!
it was quite a big plate! really juicy and tasty~
totally worth it~
Teriyaki Chicken Cheese Burger - Huge portion, with egg, tastes teriyaki enough, but I find the chicken a little tough. Somewhat frozen feel. The cheapest of the 3 at S$8.80
Other food in shokudo are just average, especially pizza, sandwiches and pasta. nothing impressive. The staffs are really efficient and great customer service display by them! i would not hesitate to visit shokudo the next time i come bugis.

Katsu Curry Rice is my first choice. I will ordered it if I dine at Japanese Restaurant. The Sauce curry gravy is thick and chunky with carrots and potatoes, and totally not spicy at all although I love spicy food.Fried chicken cutlet is so crispy and crunchy too. It goes well with the sauce. I like the salad too..
The Green Tea Ice. I loved this the most. The ice mixed with the green tea was simply divine - my friends also love it and this dessert was the first to be wobbled up. YUMMY~
Highly recommended by my friend so I decided to give it a try.
Shokudo Tofu Cheese Cake! is to die for! its lovely and soft like beancurd, totally different kind of experience having cheesecake. It is not as creamy as the usual cheesecake as u can feel healthier eating it because it is made of tofu! It is also serve in good presentation, with some light strawberry jam overall. Not a heavy dessert after a massive meal. Just right.

Shokudo japanese coffee house nice desserts! After a hot and tiring day, my friends and i decided to have japanese deserts and chill for the day. So we ordered 2 dessert to share among 4 of us We ordered these 2 desserts. I would say its not bad.
However, i feel that the waffle with banana and chocolate syrup might not worth the money. It could be make easily anywhere with few easily found ingredients.

I am not a fan of contemporary Japanese food.It is always my last choice of meal when I have no idea of what to eat.Anyway, this restaurant location is really conveniently for me.I have seen it so many times and have not stepped in.Finally, we decided to have a go.
We were seated at the side of the restaurant as it was quite full at that time, it has no barrier from passers of the shopping mall. They serve variety of western dishes, such as pasta, pizza, rosti, rice, desserts, drinks, etc.Choices are wide and portions are generous.
We ordered rosti with burger meat and curry with pork chop and egg rice.Crispy rosti and juicy burger meat were quite a good combination though.Japanese curry is always my favourite curry, it won’t be too spicy nor too rich, consistency is just right.I liked the way they cooked the egg and covered the rice.Egg though was slight bland in taste, one could add some salt and pepper to bring out their own preference taste, whereas I liked it creamy with soft touch in your tongue!Pork chop was fine.
Overall, it is up to standard. If it is a hot day, it will quite sunny while sitting at the side of the restaurant.
Recently, I met up with a friend for a late dinner at Bugis Junction and we didn’t know where to dine.Shokudo came into my mind as they do serve hearty light snacks and bites compared to many Japanese restaurants out there. This got to be my favourite of the night as I get to have the best of both worlds. It’s the Rosti with Japanese Curry with an additional egg.Rosti is a Swiss dish made out of pan fried shredded potatoes and having this with Japanese curry surely is a whole new experience. The rosti was crispy on the surface and moist in the center of it.It’s still served with sour cream for those who wants to have it the original way.We had a Crunchy Salmon Maki roll which we were given a choice if we wanted the salmon to be sashimi style or fried till its crunchy.I opted for the sashimi style as I do not like fried salmon. The raw salmon sashimi tasted soft, tender and fresh.Accompanied by the salmon roe and fish flakes, it was so delicious by itself without the need for mayo, wasabi or soy sauce.I am very particular about Japanese rice too and it turns out to be good.No wonder it’s one of the recommended dishes on the menu!
