I have my doubts on the happy review of Sleek interior. Below are the nightmare I faced with them and having to sort it out in court with them. : Below are my nightmare with Sleek Interior, I hope these notes are helpful to you. 1. Delay and non completion of works: 2 week renovation turns into a 3 month nightmare without completion of works 2. Almost all works are done halfway or not done at all. 3. Do not take calls from Customer: a. After collection of money, do not want to take any call from customer and only accepts SMS and reply takes a few days b. They will give all sorts of excuse (cannot verify if it is true) regarding why we cant contact their boss (Francis) i. Gone overseas ii. Mother sick and is in hospital c. They will push responsibilities and promises between their own staff and giving the customer nothing! 4. Calling customer names: Will start labeling and calling customer “names” and threaten customer 5. Chasing of money: a. They will chase you for money in the beginning of the Order when no work is being done even past midnight. Thinking that they are so responsive, I gave them the order not knowing that all works hardly starts 6. Leaving work half done:After knocking down walls, will leave it in limbo without any further works till customer pay amount that is not agreed upon. a. Will leave your house in a terrible mess as they don’t clean up and hold you ransom (threaten you) if you try to get them to work. b. No work being done: Upon payment by customer, no further works will be done c. Will do work on your premises for a few times a week and hardly go to your premises for any supervision of work. i. They are not able to answer detail questions by the Judge as they are not familiar with the process of their work 7. Blatant Lies: Upon judge ordering of meeting at 9 am on a Saturday, Sleek interior will claim that they are present at the premises via many SMS saying customer is not at home though they are not present at all. I have shown proof of photo taking at home to Judge at the specific time and hence this leaves no questions that Sleek interior is telling blatant lies directly infront of us. a. Please take pictures of all your premises including those areas where no work is being done. I didn’t take photos of the area as there are no works being done and ended up paying for it when the judge ask for evidence when they c laim that they have completed the work ! 8. Threaten: Will highlight to customer that they knows most people in Small Claims Tribunal and that we shouldn’t go against them as they are very familiar with the law. Saying that they will be able to win the case even if we proceed. 9. Their Claim: Will encourage customer to take the case to HDB or to court if we are not happy with them as they say that the law will always side them as they are in the right. 10. Claim: that they have HDB licence when they do not have any HDB license. 11. Take care of your chair as their workers will use your chair as a ladder as their worker tends not to bring any ladder and thus spoiling your chair. Do take a video of your chair and cut it on a CD to show the judge. I didn’t do this as I am not aware of how to show a chair that is spoilt and shaky. 12. In going to Small Claims, they would not be submit any document to our response of defects claim despite numerous visit and will only submit when the judge gave up trying and give them a warning to complete it while waiting for them to complete it on the spot. 13. Agreed delivery differs from actual delivery: a. Keep all drawings that you have agreed with them as they will change their story on the required work after receiving payment. 14. People in Sleek Interior whom I have talked to and having trouble with: a. Francis Wong (Boss) b. Sam (Boss) c. Ken d. Eric e. Colin 15. I sued the Sleek Interior in court and manage to get back some of my money though I still lose out as I have to pay for the half done job, long delays, …etc.
