I went to sushi deli at bukit panjang plaza to buy some sushi home for afternoon tea. I was not very hungry just felt the urge of munching something so I just grabbed three sushi on my way home. I bought the jelly fish one, tuna mayo and crabstick mayo. Actually at such sushi kiosk, the flavours are repetitive. The jelly fish one was pretty good, the jelly fish was well seasoned, you can see some chilli bits among the jelly fish. The tuna mayo one was not too bad, this one did not have a lot of mayo, more tuna flavour. the tuna was pretty smooth, blended well with the rice. the crabstick mayo is my usual sushi choice, everywhere I go, I must try their crabstick mayo. This branch crabstick mayo was pretty good, the mayo was a little distinct, kind of sweet. It was quite filling actually.
the handroll as my dinner
i\'m not too hungry coz having heavy tea time
so i only buy this handroll home as dinner.
the rice is well cooked, and also well seasoned,
the seaweed is fragrant with the roasted flavour.
the fish roe is nice, and other ingredients such as egg omelette
tasted nice with the handroll too.
I happened to pop by yew tee point and decided to grab a bite from sushi deli. Nowadays there are not many sushi kiosk around, I am pretty lucky to find one near me. I got the crabmeat mayo, dried prawn, jellyfish and grilled tuna mayo. I think the grilled tuna mayo was pretty good, it had a lot of chopped cucumbers in it, the tuna did not taste any different from the normal kinds. The jellyfish sushi was not too bad, the jellyfish was very chewy but I think they should cut it up to smaller pieces. Their jellyfish was well seasoned. The crabmeat mayo sushi was not too bad, the mayo made it very refreshing. The dried prawns one was rather unique, a local flavour. The sushi here were not too bad.
Such takeaway joints are convenient means of getting sushi without the additional service charge and GST that will be imposed whenever you dine in at a restaurant. I got three sushi for myself, the raw salmon sushi, crabmeat mayo sushi and the seasoned jellyfish sushi. Of the lot, I enjoyed the salmon sushi most since the salmon is quite fresh and is quite large. The crabmeat mayo is also nice with a very nice balance of mayo added to season the crabstick. Prices are quite affordable as well, with the most expensive being the salmon sushi. The rest mostly range from 70cents.
Brought a pack of different variety of sushi for lunch which includes Idako Inari, Californa maki, Inari mini maki and kani sushi.
The sushi rice is well cooked and prepared, sufficient vinegar are added, well mixed and well seasoned. All the sushi are well wrapped, not loose when eaten. The sushi are also quite fresh and should be consumed within 1 hour after purchased in order to maintain the freshness. This sushi stall also sell handroll, maki, sashimi and onigiri. The prices is also quite reasonable and is worth a try.Spending: Approximately SGD 3(Lunch)
I tried the onigiri from Sushi Deli. The strange thing is that the salmon onigiri tastes more like tuna onigiri. It\'s so odd so the salmon inside really looks and taste more like tuna. I suspect that they mix the salmon and tuna filling together cos salmon is more expensive so they cut costs by blending it with some tuna. I find the overall taste ok, it just feels like i\'m being cheated of real salmon filling but I guess you can\'t expect too much. The rice inside this is harder than what you\'d expect from Japanese sushi rice. It\'s a bit closer to our normal chinese white rice that has some vinegar added to it to get the shape. I wouldn\'t quite recommend this unless you\'re desperate for some onigiri.
Brought a salmon onigiri as a tea time snack.
This onigiri contain cooked salmon in the middle of the onigiri. The salmon was cooked, seasoning was a bit bland and can be improved, have a crunchy texture. The onigiri rice was well seasoned and has a mild vinegar taste. This onigiri is also available in other flavour such as tuna and crabstick flavour.Spending: Approximately SGD 1.80(Other)
these are the sushi from sushi deli. i was quite surprise that my mum will buy this for me. as she not usually eat japanese. the sushi were all freshly made. they were so tasty and healthy. the taste is just nice, not too sweet or not too salty. the japanese rice ball is all well rolled. i would recommend this brand of sushi to friends
I was craving for sushi but my mummy cooked dinner so I decided to buy a few pieces just to stop the craving. I was at my friend’s house and there was a branch of sushi deli. I took the smallest box and bought 2 sushi. Unlucky me, I should have taken 3 pieces cos the minimum to get a pack of soya sauce is three pieces. So I had no choice to have my sushi with my favourite soya sauce. there were not many choices of sushi, but it did look rather fresh. I took my favourite crabmeat one. It was very refreshing, the crab meat was diced into tiny pieces and mixed with mayo. The rice was a little hard though cos probably it was not freshly made and had oxidised a little, but nevertheless, it did satisfy my cravings! it was reasonably priced at 70 cents each.

the photo of food shown above is the California roll from sushi deli. i started to love this brand of sushi since I have tried their sushi last time. their sushi are really freshly made. the overall rating of this california roll is just average. because the rice is slightly too loose and not bouncy enough
I absolutely love sushi! Especially the raw ones. And especially salmon belly. Sushi Deli sells this kind of sushi. The salmon belly is integrated with fats that taste really delicious. The natural oil from the salmon heightens the taste of the raw salmon and leaves you wanting more. Really good and delicious.
Bought some sushi before i heading back home. I always like to purchase sushi at sushi deli as their sushi was freshly made and OISHI !! The seaweed is sticky and the rice is alot, although the filling is little but is just nice to fill full sushi does not contain much calories therefore i would have sushi as my snack instead of those "junk food" ! Whats more is that, the sushi price was pretty much affordable too ! I would be sure that i will go back for more !
This is my fav stall
Their temaki is the best that u ever tried
is much much nicer than other japanese restaurant
Usually they will made a few & place outside to display
but i always request them to make on the spot &
The auntie will do on the spot
It $2 ,their handroll ingredient is almost the same as others
the most special is they added in avacado
Their seaweed is very crunchy & the rice is slightly sweet & have a mild vinegars taste
overall i rate 9/10
It is really fresh sushi on the go! I was at the basement heading toward the money charger then I saw these lovely sushi waving at me asking me to grab them! And because it was freshly made I couldn\'t resist the temptation. Thus, I bought 2 different flavour - crab meat and tuna in beancurb skin at $3 each for 3. I have this liking toward beancurb sushi because there\'s this sauce added in the beancurb which make the sushi very juicy and you no longer need to add sushi soya sauce at all.
This is my first time trying the tuna beancurb skin sushi and it is mind blowing nice! There\'s chop onion added into the tuna which enhance the flavour which make it very tasty. After having the first mouthful, I just felt like U-turning to grab more of the turna beancurb skin sushi! I just can\'t have enough of it.
If you want to have a healthy alternative lunch, sushi is not bad an option!
I decided to buy some sushi home for lunch. The sushi at sushi deli is pretty average. It is probably because of how long it has been since the sushi has been made..the rice was pretty sticky and dry. Considering more than half of a sushi is made up of rice, its certainly not a good thing for sushi. However, the fillings, such as the crab meat, roes and egg were of decent quality. Considering their sushi are reasonably priced, the quality is worth the money.
Sushi Deli sells obviously sushis. However, I love their onigiris. It is very simple to eat and convenient.
To me, it is better than Edo Sushi. The last time I ate Edo Sushi\'s onigiri, it has sesame while Sushi Deli don\'t have. It\'s smaller too.
However, the price and size of Sushi Deli\'s onigiri has changed. It used to be bigger and it was priced at $1.60. Now it has become smaller and the price rose to $1.80... It\'s not that worth it anymore
Sushi Deli also sell other onigiris.
For people who like spicy food and/or tuna, they can get the Spicy Tuna Onigiri.
For people who like salmon, the Salmon Onigiri is the one.
So if you are busy or lazy, just grab one and munch!
P.S Best eaten cold.
This \'Sushi Take-Away\' stall at Tampines Mall has been quite popular here for all quite a few years. Sushi here are taste very fresh and delicious.Especially love their Salmon Mayo and Octopus sushi in the deep fried bean curd pockets. The bean curd taste sweet and not too dry and the salmon mayo fillings are generous as well.Price is reasonable. My verdict: 6.5/10Spending: Approximately SGD 4(Other)
Fast and convenient. No time to sit down to have a proper meal as we were rushing from Tangs to another place. So we had a California hand roll that is freshly made on the spot. Great hygiene practice was observed as the auntie was wearing glove and another person handles the money.
As we watched the whole process of making the hand roll, we could tell that the auntie is really not stingy when it comes to adding the ingredients. Inside is cucumber, crab meat, cheese and lots of roe which make it delicious.Spending: Approximately SGD 2.00(Tea)
Passed by this Sushi kiosk and thought I\'d like some snacks for a little fuel up.
I grabbed a California hand roll which was basically a large piece of seaweed wrapped and contained Japanese white rice, crab stick, cucumber, tamago egg, mayonnaise and fish roe. It was pretty yummy, fresh but had a little too much mayonnaise inside. It cost $2.
I also got a Tuna Mayo Onigiri (triangular sushi), It was just Japanese white rice inside with a small amount of tuna mayo and black sesame seeds. Simple and average. It cost $1.30.Spending: Approximately SGD 4(Other)
This is a ok sushi place. But I would prefer Ichiban Sushi over this one. You can find most types of sushi like Ebi, Tomaki, and Unagi types.
Their handrolls are ok.
