Programmes

The Classroom is an education centre which specialises in secondary school education. Our main programs include English, Mathematics and Science.

English (Upper Secondary)

The Classroom offers English Language courses which are specially designed to prepare a student for the O-level examinations. The course exposes a student to all the components of the O-level examination including comprehension, composition and Oral communication.

This course will equip you with:

1. examination Skills - necessary if you want to ace your exam
2. effective reading and communication skills - vital for success during the Oral communication component
3. a larger range of vocabulary
4. writing skills - to help develop and craft your composition and situational writing into a masterpiece

Course structure
Lessons run once every week, 1.5 hours each time.

Mathematics

The Classroom offers Mathematics classes for students from Secondary 1 to Secondary 4.
The primary focus of the mathematics program is to ensure that students understand what is taught in class. From there, students are then shown how to identify the types of questions which are common in exams and then exposed to an extensive selection of questions, modified from previous prelim examinations.

The course will equip you with:

1. the ability to answer close to 100% of the questions that appear in the final year examinations or O-level examinations.
2. the ability to manage and prioritise your time during the examination
3. the ability to consciously reduce the amount of careless mistakes made

• Emath: Secondary 1 to 4
• Amath: Secondary 3 to 4

Course Structure

• Lower secondary: once a week, 1.5 hours each time
• Upper secondary: once a week, 2 hours each time

Science

The Classroom specialises in Upper Secondary Science programmes.

Since opening in 2009, we have consistently achieved a high distinction rate for our science classes because of the way we run our programmes. Trainers at The Classroom are known for their ability to instil an interest in Science in their students. Armed with a positive mindset, students are able to learn more efficiently and excel in their examinations.

The course will equip students with:

• fun and interesting ways to retain and apply knowledge
• exposure to hundreds of questions from past year papers
• the ability to identify recurring topics and questions that appear year after year
