It was a sunday evening and we had school the next day. so we decided to go Mind Cafe, at Dohby Ghaut to have dinner while having fun with board games. The shop itself have two levels and have nice ambiance. I ordered fish and chips. The portion is suitable for me, not very little neither was it too much for me. There were many customers by 8pm and the cafe was rolling with laughter. It is a nice place to be in.
This is a memorable dining moment for me because it is A very good place to chill out and spend quality time with your beloved as i discovered when i chanced upon it with my parents after having lunch. A very cosy big cafe with different types of sofa seats and board games and they carry different types of monopoly games too and charges by the hours at $6.50 per pax with unlimited flow of drinks. I had a sprite while my father has a blue coloured drink mixed with soda and its very tasty. We ordered snack too.The Malay family sitting next to us were enjoying their games with chocolate cakes that looks very yummy. After hours of playing, we are a little bit hungry so we had the spaghetti which is not bad. Overall we had fun time together.
The Mind Cafe is tucked away in a small stairway up a row of shop houses. You may not notice it as it is only a staircase that leads to this cafe. Do take note of the signs outside! We actually walked pass it a few times! We can choose our games in there and order sets of food for group of people. It\'s mainly snacks and drinks thats all. We had chips, fried finger food like cheese fries and ice cream. It\'s normal fried food, not very fabulous but it\'s hot and crispy. Not too bad though. Drinks wise, they are abit blend especially milo etc. and most of it came from those can drinks. Their service wasn\'t that bad but when asked to teach us on some games, they have no idea! Don\'t think i\'ll go there again!
The carrot is nice and it is not too sweet. It is served warm and goes well with the (vanilla) ice cream. The frosting on top of the carrot cake is delicious. The environment is suitable for catching up and enjoying food while playing board games. The service is good too.Spending: Approximately SGD 5
The mind cafe has always been a good place to gather with friends as it offers - food, games and ambience ! ok , the ambience might be abit exaggerating especially when occassionally you will heard screams from other tables. The paste is good but this depends on individual\'s taste ! The dessert is also good ! Overall one person is less than $15 as we took the lunch package with free 4 hours of free game playing.
Chilled out at mind cafe with my cousins over the weekend. I got the cheesy Fish and Chips, which was served in a very generous portion! It was heavenly! Perfect for a chese lover like tme. The cheese literally oozed out of the fillet with each bite! I couldnt stop complimenting how good it was! The set meal came with free flow of drink as well as a soup or salad, which I thought was really ideal for a concept like Mindcafe as people ususally spent a relatively long time there chilling and playing games with friends. The free flow of drinks definitely helped to keep ourselves hydrated throughout.Spending: Approximately SGD 20
A very good place to chill out and spend quality time with your beloved as i discovered when i chanced upon it with my daughter after having buffet lunch just opposite at Sakura.A very cosy big cafe with different types of sofa seats and board games and they carry different types of monopoly games too and charges by the hours at $6.50 per pax with unlimited flow of drinks.I had a sprite while my daughter has a blue coloured drink mixed with soda and its very tasty. The Malay family sitting next to us were enjoying their games with chocolate cakes that looks very yummy.Spending: Approximately SGD 6.50(Other)
It was my best friend\'s birthday & my friends and I decided to treat her for dinner. We wanted a place where we could relax and chill out and so I immediately thought of this boardgames cafe. I had went to this cafe before & enjoyed myself tremendously during the time i was there, so i quickly made a reservation. Turns out there was no need for a reservation, there wasn\'t much customers when we arrived. We immediately settled down & got some boardgames from the shelves, there was soo many games to choose from, making it super hard to decide which one we wanted to play, so in the end brought 4-5 different games back to the table, haha. The staff were really polite, plus they were really patient when explaining games you don\'t know or understand. They even helped us light the candles on the cake we bought outside, nt from them! There are different packages we could choose frm, ranging from those with free flow drinks to those that came with a full meal, prices were also quite reasonable. We chose their Mind Mega Meal Package ($16.50) that came with free flow drinks (4 flavours to choose from, & can change flavours), a main course & either soup/salad + 3hrs of unlimited boardgaming. They also have sides for you to order if you don\'t feel like having a full meal. Th 1st time i went to this cafe, my 1st thought was \'since it\'s a boardgame cafe, it should focus more on the array of games they had, not the food, so i supposed it isn\'t that nice\'. However, this cafe actually proved me wrong! They served really nice food - both nice to see & nice to eat! I was actually quite surprised that their food was so nice! Their tom yam roast chicken with rice is a must try! The salmon pasta is also very worth the money spent! This is the place to go, for both nice food, great service + nice place for boardgaming!
Mind\'s cafe is always know for being a great place to hang out and have fun with friends. There\'s a wide selections of bored games to choose from, and it does not matter if none of my friends know how to play, cause the staffs there would gladly teach till you understand the games. Quite good service are being offered. There are some packages that comes with food and are very worth the price, at least that is what i think. Some of my friends ordered their mains, which looks good, but i wont comment about it since i didnt tried for myself. I just feel like snacking, so i ordered cheese fries. Their cheese fries reminds me of nachos cheese, but, taste more diluted. Their fries are the thicker cut kind. I still prefers the cheese fries by kfc more though. The packages come with free flow of drinks though i would not recommend their blueberry tea. It looks too fake. The colouring makes me feel like changing the order straight away, and the taste does not help much in convincing me other wise too. It is best to stick to the normal soft drink. One thing about this place though, the toilet stink.
