They only not sell delicious soup but as well as healthy side dishes like ceasar's salad.
A lot of variety of soups are here! Love their food and the ambiance. They have a newly opened branch at Plaza Singapura in Dhoby Ghaut.
Check out their wide variety of soup dishes. Worth a visit if you're craving something warm to fill your stomach.
The soup spoon at Raffles. I love their soup and cheese naan. This is good for dinner =)
Great place for great hot soup especially when uts raining outside:)
I love soup spoon, especially more when they introduced their healthier choice.
Just the perfect warmth for the tummy. Yummy.
Yummmyyy soups! My fav is beef goulash! :) must try!
Healthy to eat for lunch or dinner, liked their mushroom soup with the variety of bread of course :)
Healthy dinner :) And surprisingly you will fill full after it!
The service was fast and nice, I have to give it that.
I love their meatless minestrone soup. It's warm and good for rainy day weather.
Beside their soup, do try their wrap. My lunch.
Ordered the Vegetarian Minestrone Soup for lunch. The ingredients were all so chunky and fresh. Each time I bit into the tomato, the juice just ooze out. A very Hearty meal.
I went to this outlet 2nd time already. Because my friend say that she want to try it. I tried out the Garfunkel Chicken Ragout Soup. The tasty creamy soup is fulled of ingredient chunks, including marinated chicken cubes, heaps of mushrooms, and lots of herbs. Very rich in flavour, and so comforting! But i will feel greasy after drink about half the bowl, maybe it is too concentrated and too fulled with the ingredient already. OR maybe i\'m not feeling well. And the price is really expensive.
This evening I decide to dine in soup spoon and have learned that they are serving wholesome soups. My last visited was about a month ago taking their breakfast meal. This is my first time to order their soup which is strongly recommended by friends. I order The Mushroom soup (Velvety Mushroom Stroganoff). The main ingredients of the soup are button mushroom, Shitake mushroom, cream, flour, garlic, onion and red wine, low calories. It is very nutritional. The mushrooms are so smooth. There are also bits and pieces of mushrooms within the soup which is very gluten texture and juicy. The soup comes with a little bun for you to dip in your soup. I feels so fulfillment after finish the soup. This soup is overpowering with the aroma of mushrooms perfect for mushroom lovers. Spending: Approximately SGD 8
Ordered the Bread bowl for the first timeWhat the bowl looks like when it\'s closedHow the bread bowl looks like with the cap off. The soups are thick and really hearty-- I could barely eat halfway down the bread bowl. Friend ordered the Pumpkin Soup along with the Sandwich. I feel that this is the better bang for the buck as you can get variations in taste and texture. The Pumpkin soup has some pepper inside so it might be slightly peppery for those whom avoid Black Pepper. Definitely recommend getting the half soup and half salad or half soup and half sandwich (if you have the stomach space!) Don\'t forget to sign up as their member as it\'s free and you can collect points too! A good place to hang out as you can sit as long as you want and they won\'t chase you away.
See the review at http://thehungrybunnie.blogspot.com/2011/01/soup-spoon-tanjong-pagar-mrt.html We had: 1) Velvety Mushroom Stroganoff in a Bread Bowl ($11.70) - Bread was flaky on top, chewy at the bottom 2) Boston Clam Chowder ($6.90 for regular) - juicy clams with chunky celery, potatoes and peppers in a creamy rich chowder. The good thing about the complimentary bread is that it\'s always served fresh, so it\'s soft and fluffy. Perfect for soaking up the remnants of the creamy soup 3) Tokyo Chicken Stew ($6.60 for regular) is clear and delicate, with Japanese mirin and sake flavouring the soup base, and lotus root, shitake, enoki, white radish and bamboo shoots thrown in for an Oriental flair
We wanted something light so instead of the half soup and half sandwich/salad deal, decided to just have the soup alone. Even then, due to the thickness of the soup, it\'s really easy to feel full. I ordered the Ginseng Chicken that was surprisingly thick and full of vegetables. I liked how that they didn\'t skimp on the ingredients, however, I had envisioned the Ginseng Chicken to be less thick. Also, they were really generous on the ginseng that was in the soup too! The cashier was really nice and got us to try another of their specialty but I only recalled that it was too salty.
i visit the soup spoons\' outlets during non-peak hours, usually around 8 pm for my snack w monthly chefs\' special, mostly just a bread bowl with my selected soup at only $10 with NTUC card. This location is slightly dim and hidden in the crowded raffles xchange. This place is especially quiet and nice to go for catch ups i.e. during non peak hours. I believe soup spoon have one of e best and practical credit system where i can use to offset real cash value in my next order. And with great food, it makes me a loyal customer.
It was a sunny afternoon that faithful day. Me and my friends went to Keppel Bay to fellowship and afterwhich we went for dinner at vivo city. Was deciphering on what to eat but came across the soup spoon so we decided on having this for dinner. There was a queue but i saw that the serving team were rather efficient. I ordered mushroom soup with bread. It was rather tasty at first but i started to get sick of it after i finished half the bowl of it. perhaps i did not like the taste of the mushroom. However the service was good and the environment was nice too. The pricing is average if you compare it with other cafeterias.
Today, in the early morning; I re-visit The Soup spoon cafe where is located in Tampines Mall basement 1. This time, I order American breakfast which contains of chicken sausages, crumble eggs, wholemeal bread, raw cranberry and vegetable and accompany with a cup coffee or tea. The café provide a nutrition and healthy Breakfast meal indeed. Most of the children like this meal for Breakfast as they cannot resist taking the delicious sausages.
I love this~ The soup and bread may seems so simple BUT the soup here is different. The taste is very rich. Furthermore, the bread is quite soft and crispy. When you dipped the bread with the soup, the bread can fully absorbed the soup and makes the bread more flavourful. The bread will not be soggy when dipped. It still taste crispy with the bread dipped in the soup. Go try it out. Its an all new taste~
I really enjoyed my meal at The Soup Spoon the other time so decided to patronise them again, this time trying their wraps- chicken tika wrap and their ice lemon tea. The chicken wrap was quite small but it was wholesomely wrapped with ingredients like lettuce and chicken pieces inside. It was very tasty! The salad at the side was not too good, because it was not cold when I had it. Their ice lemon tea tasted home made, with a very rich tea brew. I enjoyed my meal once again.
As early as 7 am in the morning, I visit The Soup spoon, another new outlet located in Tampines Mall basement 1.It had been newly open in two weeks ago.The cafe provided varieties of western and oriental cuisine for breakfast, lunch & dinner. In the morning, we do not have much choices, I order Century egg congee which contains of chicken, pork, mushroom, slices of gingers & fried onion. The taste is alright and less salt.Spending: Approximately SGD 5
At ARC. I think weekend will be less crowded.
ordered the mushroom soup, half caesar salad and ice lemon tea. mushroom soup was quite bland, quite a disappointment. the caesar salad was good though, vegetables were fresh and crunchy and overall tasted really delicious! also find it quite pricey, cost more than 10 bucks for a simple lunch, though i must say there is a great variety to choose from, more than 5 types of soups and many selections of salad, wraps and sandwiches.
- The Shop The Soup Spoon was first established in June 2002 at Raffles City Shopping Centre by a trio of soup loving entrepreneurs. The trio managed to start the culture soup using the freshest and most succulent ingredients (NO MSG!!) and expanded to 12 branches with Tiong Bahru Plaza as the newest outlet. The Soup Spoon has something for everyone with scrumptious lip-smacking soups, tasty sandwiches, salads and sides. Beside the daily selections soup and a revolving menu of other varieties, they have different Chef Specials every month too. Do visit their Soup Menu section to get the latest update. - The Food (Daily Selection) Tangy Tomato with Basil (Vegetarian) @ $6.10The vegetarian puree of roasted tomatoes and basil is creamy with a tinge of red. It slides down the throat with smoothness, first tasting tangy and then slightly spicy... leaving a warm tingling after taste. It\'s best to go along with Garlicky Foccacia (garlic bread). Velvety Mushroom Stroganoff (Vegetarian) @ $7.30Overpowering with the aroma of mushrooms may be too rich and filing for some. But mushroom lover should not give this a miss! The generous mushroom bits and creamy soup is comforting especially on a rainy day. Tokyo Chicken Stew @ $7The clear and delicate soup base with chicken marinated in a broth of sake and mirin with an assortment of oriental vegetables is delectable. The simple and authentic soup certainly brought back memory and make me nostalgic. It\'s my all time favourite!! Smoked Salmon Sandwich @ $9.90The big portion and filling sandwich has nothing to rave about. The smoked salmon somehow tasted very artificial and dry. Having said that, this dish has receive a lot of good review from others. Perhaps it\'s just our unlucky day. If you are famish, their sandwich is certainly a good choice. Indochine Prawn Wrap @ $9.90The crunchy big prawns wrap is tasty & zesty, thanks to the refreshing taste of the Kaffir lime. Tasty peanut sesame dressing along with water chestnut and other vegetables make it more delicious just the way it is. - My all time favourite (minus the coriander!). Thai Vermicelli Salad @ $8.30 This salad brings together a delicious marriage of lemongrass chicken, vermicilli, water chestnut, celery, coriander, carrot, cherry tomato and snow pea sprout. It can be served as a complete meal on its own or as a additional side dishes to your soup. The sauce may be too acid-ing to some but it\'s still an excellent salad to stimulate one’s appetite. - The Food (Chef Specials for August 2011) French Ratatouille (Vegetarian soup) @ $6.80The little soury sweet stew is thick with wide array of colourful chunky vegetables like Potatoes, carrots, French beans, eggplant, cauliflower, zucchini and fresh peas married with plump and juicy tomatoes stewed to tender perfection and seasoned with fresh herbs. Indeed lavish yet nutritious. The soup is good without the small portion of sour cream too. A Mid Summer Night\'s Beef Stew @ $7.90Inspired by Shakespeare, the stew was created to commemorate the opening of Soup Spoon at Ion Orchard in 2009. It\'s a pot of simmering soup begins with a generous portions of tender hearty beef coaxed with the help of aromatics, wine, fresh herbs, tomatoes, and white beans into a flavourful stew that is rich, thick and a gorgeous red hue. The liquorices taste and citrus flavour is well liked by most of my friends. In short, the stew is bursting with flavour. Braised Chicken with Wolfberries and Daun Salam @ $7.60Inspired from SouperChef\'s Hainanese and Malay background, she uses woflberries and red dates which is commonly found in Chinese herbal soups for its liver protection properties and daun salam and chilli mostly found in Malay/Indonesia dishes for its\' flavour and anti-aging properties. The combination create an unique taste to the palette. In case you are curious by the yellowish colour of the soup, this is due to use of turmeric. Wait, did I just say this soup has anti-aging properties? Wonder if it will do anything to the fine lines on our faces? Ladies, we should have this everyday!! - My Opinion The Soup Spoon serves consistently fresh and robust flavorful food in a casual atmosphere. Unfortunately most of the outlets are usually cramped up and packed leaving diners in a eat-and-go situation. Nonetheless, SouperChef Anna Lim is always very generous with the ingredients. I must say she has gain a faithful "regular crowd" which I think I am one of them. (shh, tell you a secret, I even own a souperholic loyalty card. If you loves soup like me, check out the benefit from the Souperholic Club programme on how to earn and redeem anything off the menu with sufficient points. ;) Whet your appetite with healthier option at The Soup Spoon!
Had the mushroom soup and a caesar salad this time and it was good! Love the consistency of the soup and the richness in flavour of the soup. Love the salad as well! Love that the croutons are crispy and deliciously tasty!! The iced lemon tea that comes along with it was good too! Would definitely recommend you to try there other soups which include both Western styled soup and Chinese soup!
My friend and I were out to the spa & after having a relaxing time,on our way back, we stopped at The Soup Spoon for dinner. We looked at the menu on the various soups & I decided on Velvety Mushroom Stroganoff. It was quite a big bowl along witha bread roll. The soup was rich, thick, smooth & was loaded with mushrooms. The aroma & the flavours were amazing. It was an utterly filling meal. It is a bit expensive i.e 7 SGD for a bowl of soup, but its worth it once in a while . Our girly evening out ended perfectly with a bowl of filling & yummy soup
If you\'re looking for a healthier alternative, look no further! Soup Spoon offers both nutritious and pocket-friendly meals that actually taste good! My mum, sis and I decided to lunch at Soup Spoon one Saturday while shopping as we wanted something good and did not require any queuing. I ordered the Tokyo Stew and a Thai Chicken Vermicelli. My favourite soup so far, out of the 5 that I have tried. This is a clear broth, but its layered flavour hints at hours of stewing, unlike the MSG flavoured soups you get some places. The soup has chicken chunks, carrots, mushrooms and lotus roots.Another favourite of mine, this salad comes with a slightly sour and spicy sauce that you can drizzle over the greens, vermicelli and chicken bits. The blend of sour and spicy makes this a suitable appetizer. My mum ordered the Tokyo Stew as well, but with the Indochine Prawn wrap. She initially wanted to try the Roast Duck wrap but it was unavailable that day.According to her, the wrap tasted a little like my Thai Chicken Vermicelli, but less sour.I took a bite of her wrap to try, and I still find my salad the better choice My sister tried the Boston Clam Chowderwhich is a thick starchy soup with lots of clam in it.I felt that the chowder was very jelat. But tasty as a whole and might be suitable for someone looking for a filling meal. All in all, Soup Spoon remains my top choice for a satisfying lunch or dinner. Its also very worthwhile to eat here during the weekends because they have buddy and family promotion packages! 9/10
The soup spoon offers a variety of soup item. Quite a big bowl and you will feel full after eating it. It have bread and salad as well. The soup are quite healthy and they even show the calories of the soup on the menu. For people on diet, they do have low calories soup so you can eat without worry. They do have packet soup pack in a vacuum pack as well. Can buy from them, and heat up on your own at home and eat anytime you want.
Had this soup with my little sister for dinner and we ordered the minestrone soup and the mushroom soup. It was quite nice for a soupy rainy day but i thought the standard of the soup has dropped. I used to really enjoy the taste and consistency of the soup, but this time, i couldnt really finish the soup. As for the mushroom soup, i feel that it should be shared between two people as it gets quite \'jelat\' after about 5 spoonfuls. Wouldnt really recommend soup spoon as it is quite pricey as well..
This was my first time at The Soup Spoon and I really enjoyed their soup. I ordered their Velvety mushroom stroganoff which is basically cream of mushroom soup with lots of pieces of mushroom in it. There was a variety of at least two types of mushrooms and the soup was really thick and creamery. It was not too salty, you could add in extra salt and pepper on your own. Although it was really good at the beginning, I got a little sick of the soup towards the end but nevertheless it was still a great meal! Break up the bread and throw the pieces into the soup to enjoy the full meal.
The soup spoon •Don’t get the wrong impression. Soup is really filling and a set can make a full meal •top up to a meal – for better value for money •add 4.80 for any choice of salad/ wrap •Tokyo chicken stew – clear soup, lean chicken meat, lotus roots and celery makes it extra healthy •thai chicken vermicelli – comes with bean sprouts and cherry tomatoes, quite salty , but overall is refreshing •ice leamon tea – refreshing and not too sweet •buns are nice and warm •get soupaholic card and accumulate points for rebate on your next meal •can get packed
The Soup Spoon is my favourite place for soups and salads. However, I came to realise that it serves equally good Breakfast sets as well. We happened to be in that area at about 10am on a weekday morning, and didnt really fancy having a soup. We were pleasantly surprised when we realised that The Souper Breakfast was actually a breakfast set with Coffee! The set comprised of toast, scrambled eggs with cranberry, boiled chicken sauages and salad. Each order was prepared from scratch; hence the slighty longer waiting time. It was worth the wait, with crispy, hot toast and hot eggs and sausages. The taste proved that all the ingredients used were fresh. The service, as always, was fast and very polite. The staff ensured that our order was sent to our table once ready and that nothing was lacking. We enjoyed breakfast and will definitely go back for more! Spending: Approximately SGD 7(Breakfast)
I have recently began to appreciate wholesome soups and Soup Spoon is one of my favourite places to go to for soups since it is quite convenient to get to their outlets. Each soup will come with a small bun and I got another bun for dipping my soup with since I only ordered the soup. The mushroom soup, or Velvety Mushroom Stroganoff, is one of the best mushroom soups that I have ever had. Unlike those watered down versions, this is full of mushrooms and the soup has depth in terms of its taste with so many different mushrooms used in the making of this soup. There are also bits and pieces of mushrooms within the soup which is very juicy and provides more textures to the soup. Mushroom lovers will definitely take to this soup like I did.
i decided to head to the Soup spoon. The Soup Spoon has a wide variety of soups. They offer a good range of soups in their regular menu. So I decided on Clam Chowder soup. What I like about their soups is that it\'s filling and overall pretty healthy. Even their regular size bowl satisfies big eaters like me. The soups are a little over priced though.
Soup Spoon will pull out some special menu from time to time, and this time round they have Lemony chicken with mustard ($7.6) and Beef stroganoff with penne and buttons ($8). Lemony chicken soup has plenty of ingredients, including chicken, red and green bell peppers, button mushroom, abalone mushroom, potatoes, carrots, pumpkin, celery, penne pasta and lemons. The mustard taste is not too strong though, but with the tiny sourness from lemon, this soup is quite appetizing.Spending: Approximately SGD 8(Dinner)
I was in Vivo city and was in a mood for some hot soup, so i decided to head to the Soup spoon. The Soup Spoon has a wide variety of soups. They offer a good range of soups in their regular menu.So I decided on Clam Chowder soup. What I like about their soups is that it\'s filling and overall pretty healthy. Even their regular size bowl satisfies big eaters like me. The soups are a little over priced though.
I used to think that Soup Spoon is a place for a light meal, but no longer so. It only applies if you order just the soup which comes with a smallish but usually nicely warm bun. For me and rest of friends, the top up to a meal usually works better. For any soup of any size, you add $4.80 for a half salad / wrap (add another $1 for premium items which are indicated on the menu), plus a drink or small pack of chips. I think the prices has slightly gone up if I\'m not wrong.
I love their mushroom soups. Each piping hot bowl of soup comes with generous chunky bits of shitake, white button mushrooms. The soup is of a thick, creamy consistency with all the mushroom goodness blended inside. I always savour every spoonful and finish every last drop of the soup left =) There are many soup and sandwich choices to choose from, so you won\'t get too bored with their selections.
I was having my shopping in city hall and after walking half a day. Im hungry and tired. So i decided to find a good restaurant to have my tea break. So i came across to this The Soup Spoon in Raffles City Shopping Centre. I ordered one Velvety Mushroom Stroganoff and one piece of naan. The velvety mushroom stroganoff tastes like ordinary mushroom soup but it tastier. Bits of mushroom. The naan was ordinary. Still thinks that naan from original mamak store tastes better. Haha! Anyway the mushroom soup costs $6.90 whereas the naan costs $3!
Soup Spoon has always been my ideal meal for lunch as to me I think that they are extremely filling and healthy. I always go for the calm chowder, although it\'s a little bit higher compared to all those healthy choice. It taste extremely yummy, it goes extremely well with the bread. I would always complete the meal with the add on sandwich, smoked salmon is my ideal choice all the while. I don\'t really like the salad, it taste weird and more towards like the thai salad.
It was a rainy day and we decided to have something soupy and warm to fill our stomachs. I ordered the clam chowder soup which costs $7.20. The soup is really delicious with generous portion of ingredients. It consists of clams (as the soup names it), potatoes, carrots and vegetables. The combination is great in the thick and creamy based soup.Spending: Approximately SGD 7.20(Dinner)
I have always wanted to dine at \'The Soup Spoon\', but I use to always get put off, because it\'s always crowded. This time, I was at Orchard Ion at around 2:30 PM & was super hungry, the place was crowded, but I saw a few seats available,so I decided to place my order. They offer a good range of soups in their regular menu. I opted for the \'Souper value meal\',which consisted of a soup of my choice, 1/2 a wrap/sandwich & an Ice lemon tea/apple. So I decided on Clam Chowder soup & Chicken, mushroom wrap & Iced Lemon tea. What I like about their soups is that it\'s heartening, chock-full of ingredientsand overall pretty healthy. Even their regular size bowl would probably satisfy big eaters, while those with small appetites might want to share.I enjoyed the Clam chowder, It was super delicious & was a bowl full of a creamy soup with clams & vegetables. The wrap was just al right,a bit bland. The iced lemon tea was great, it had a home made feel to it & made me feel refreshed after a tiring day. I must admit that the staff was efficient, polite & know the true meaning of hospitality. My wrap arrived within 5 minutes, with a smile.Tables were cleared promptly after a customer left, and they also seemed quite enthusiastic to clear your tray the minute you sit down at the table. I\'ve even received compliements one would normally expect to hear at fine-dining restaurants, like "Excellent Choice, Madam!". Though the menu is a little over priced, I thoroughly enjoyed my soup & wrap at \'The Soup Spoon\' & had a hearty healthy meal. Poor eaters like me would get stuffed with only the soup, so I know what to order, the next time I visit \'The Soup Spoon\'. :-)
During my visit to The Soup Spoon the other day, I tried out the Simon and Garfunkel Chicken and Mushroom Ragout Set, where I get a soup and a serving of salad for $12.40. Quite a bargain for a balanced diet. The tasty creamy soup is fulled of ingredient chunks, including marinated chicken cubes, heaps of mushrooms, and lots of herbs. Very rich in flavour, and so comforting!
As always, I ordered my favourite clam chowder soup. It costs $7.20 for the soup for the regular size. The ingredients in the soup were generous consisting of clams, potatoes and carrots. The soup was piping hot and it felt good in the stomach. The Fusionopolis outlet was not crowded and we managed to find seats quite quickly. Spending: Approximately SGD 7.20(Lunch)
It has been a long time since i’ve dined at the Soup Spoon, just like it has been a long time since i’ve met up with my friends. It’s an ideal place for gathering, to have a light meal and casual chat. A healthy soup that leaves the health conscious people at ease. Price is reasonable. highly recommended!
I wasn\'t too hungry when I met up with my friend for dinner at Vivo City. And so, I suggested that we just eat at Soup Spoon. Despite it being crowded with mostly students, we were able to grab seats for 2. Anyway, I had their soup for the week: the Chicken Cacciatore with Portobello and Sage. I enjoyed the fact that you can choose the bowl size. Since I was too full, I ordered the smallest one. The soup consistency was very thick and there were so many ingredients in it! Yum. Despite ordering a small bowl, I still felt so full afterwards. I was a bit disappointed, though, that they don’t offer tap water for drinking. I asked the waiter and he asked me to buy. Hmph!
I love dining in at soup spoon because their soups are tasty and very nourishing. In addition, they also provide the calories count for each of their soups, so this definitely helps for those who are conscious of their calories intake. I ordered their mushroom soup, the large serving since I am sharing the soup with my friend. The normal serving consist of 252kcal. The soup comes with a little bun for you to dip in your soup. The mushroom soup is really choke full of delicious juicy mushrooms. All mushroom lovers would definitely fall in love with this soup, because it is reall full of mushroom goodness and they don\'t stinge on the ingredients, which is what makes this soup so flavourful. Definitely recommended!
The mushroom soup here is thick and creamy. The only problem is that one entire bowl of it seems to end up a little too much due to the creaminess. The bread is quite good too, soft and warm when eaten immediately. I think the best thing to do at Soup Spoon is to share with a friend and thus try out a variety of soups from the menu. Otherwise, will end up like me, too \'gelard\'.
I love soup spoon, especially more when they introduced their healthier choice nann! I\'ve tried most of their soup and i personally find the tokyo chicken stew is a tad bit salty (easy on the salt dude). Make it a set with the addition of 3 plus and you get a drink or apple with salad or sandwich..(and more chops on the soup spoon card!) Usually i\'ll get the asian tofu which is damn delicious. I love the tofu. A healthy and delicious meal. Can get alittle crowded during peak hours though. So be down early. Service is good and staffs there are amiable and friendly. Thumbs up!Overall, i\'ll say, grab a soup spoon.
tried this soup some time ago but i could not remember the name, it was something like prawn bistro. the soup really has a very strong prawn taste and the texture was some what like chowder. the staff was also nice to suggest addition of sour cream which also bring out the flavour of the soup. however, the taste tend to be a little to strong so it kind of get saltier when u drank more but nonetheless, i think this soup was not too bad
My daughter suggested Soup Spoon for our light afternoon tea. The crowd has lessened when we arrived at the shop at 3pm. I got myself the Roast Duck Wrap which is my very first time trying it. As you can see, the portion of duck given is quite generous and it is also sliced quite thickly such that you can distinctively taste the flavour of the duck. The wrap also has garden vegetables which provided it with a crisp and refreshing taste. I would recommend people who love eating duck to try this.
A well-crafted emailer with enticing pictures does work - case in point would be my colleagues and I who eargerly made an appointment upon seeing the emailer to try out the latest Chef Specials at The Soup Spoon at 112 Katong.I could smell the aroma of the piping hot soup as soon as my colleague walked towards the table. True to its advertising copy (how many times have we been duped by flashy wordings?), the bowl was chock full ofhealthy goodies including carrots, slices of fried beancurd, assorted mushroom, chunks of tender chicken thigh meat, lotus root and cabbage aplenty. The soup, made with miso paste, stock and soya milk, was rich and creamy enough to be satisfying but not cloying. I do have a gripe about the bun though. I got a wholewheat roll studded with dried oats. I know the bun is random, but something more complementary would have been appreciated. (: The Soup Spoon has always been the go-to place for when I need comfort food with their good variety of healthy soups in generous portions and at great prices. Can\'t wait to see which flavours make it to March\'s Chef Specials!Spending: Approximately SGD 7.50(Lunch)
Ordered their set meal and chose the Simon and Garfunkel Chicken and Mushroom Ragout. It was my first time trying but i heard from my friend that it is actually not bad so i gave it a try. I didn\'t quite like it as i feel that there are too much stuff inside the soup already. But i must say the chicken was rather nice though. The set meal came with a chicken and mushroom wrap that i chose. I spent a total of $12.30 here.
Soup Spoon is a place which I will strongly recommend to those who wanna watch their diet as the calories of all the soups are clearly stated in the menu. Ordered this delicious Simon & Garfunkel Chicken Ragout soup which consists of pieces of chicken, mushroom and carrot. Given that the soup is kinda thick, one will feel full after drinking soup and hence, I will not recommend one to add $4.80 for an additional half sandwich and drink as I think most people will not be able to finish it.
A soup a day, keep you healthy and alert for the rest of the day ! Come to soup spoon and a soup for lunch, tried this new flavour of soup. It is pretty nice but if it is too much, is abit over. Cause is too creamyI like the soup as it goes well with real mushroom taste... the taste is so authentic. It also goes well with the bread and definitely you need drinks too.
A soup a day, keep you healthy and alert for the rest of the day ! Come to soup spoon and a soup for lunch, tried this new flavour of soup, pardon me for forgotten about the name since it is a new creation i just ordered upon reading what ingredients it has in it. This soup i ordered is like those chinese type of soup with carrot and pork to cook. The soup tastes natural sweet and with the meat it keep me full . Add another cup of hot chocolate and i am ready to work again .
these type of soup are really nice well it depends on who make it.. and the ingredients! importantly its quality this is one of the nice soup i ever tasted.. this beef soup taste really good as you can see its more than just carrots! and has quite an amount of ingredients! good to have it with bread!
I had always wanted to try out The Soup Spoon and finally had a chance to do so yesterday. For a lack ofknowledge of the taste of their soups, I decided on the Minestrone soup which has 194 calories. The soup is suitable for vegetarians since it is cooked using vegetables only. There are quite a lot of different flavours with the kidney beans and tomatoes as well as a hint of some herbs from the aroma given off by the basil. A pretty nice soup to have. I finished it all up with the bread that accompanies the soup.
soup spoon is always one of my preferred place for a meal because is a healthier choice and the soups are nice. they always have some monthly special soups but i think they are not as appetising as the normal one so i always stick to my chicken raggou. the soup always taste so nice and with the generous serving of the vegetables and meat, is definitely worth the money
THE SOUP SPOON is one of my favourite place to eat. As a soup lover, i really like going to soup spoon for their food. Especially, their soup are low in calories and they have a chart to show the different calories weightage for every soup respectively. This time round, i ordered the mushroom soup. The soup always comes with a bread, which you can choose from a variety. Other than that, you can top up to a meal at only $4.90. Then you can choose a sandwich/wrap and a drink/apple/chips. So it\'s rather worth it! If you haven\'t tried it before, why not find a day to have your lunch there
Tried the asian tofu salad at soup spoon, i find it nice and healthy. The asian tofu salad consists of tofu, beansprout, mini tofu and a special sauce that makes the salad so tasty. I\'m not someone who like to eat raw vegetables but i really like this salad alot. It doesn\'t have the after taste of the raw vegetables and it just tasted so fresh. If you haven\'t try this, do try it someday at soup spoon. And it\'s definetely a very healthy and delicious dish.
After a recent study session with my friends at Changi Airport, we headed to the Soup Spoon to takeaway for dinner! I ordered their set meal which comprises soup, a wrap/sandwich and the last being, a drink, a muffin, chips or an apple. For their soup, I ordered the Velvety Mushroom Stroganoff. For their wrap, I ordered the Chicken Tikka. And for the sides, I ordered the muffin. The soup is MUST-TRY for all those mushroom lovers out there! It is of a thick consistency, with generous amounts of mushroom chunks. Also, it has a peppery taste to it, making it all the more delicious! Their wrap, however, is disappointly small especially for the exorbitant price they charge! But the taste does make up for it, not fully but to a certain extent! Lastly, their muffin was rather average and nothing to scream about. Overall, I think that the food priced at The Soup Spoon is rather pricey and the only thing that\'s worth it is their soup which is served in a generous portion. Their wrap is ridiculously small though delicious. Probably wouldn\'t eat here again unless it\'s for their soup!
Looking at the cute packaging of the take away box really makes it more appetising for me. Seldom will I see the shop take particular attention on the bread. Either is it chucked away together with the food or it ends up in those transparent plastic bags. This shop got a lid to cover the bread , which was really thoughtful. Minestrones was one of my favourite item that I will order whenever I visit the soup spoon. I also like the idea that they put up the calories for each soup, which gives us a better idea of what to choose from based on our daily intake. The soups are always filled with lots of ingredient which are really filling after eating. So it can be taken as a meal by itself. No wonder this place is packed with office crowds during lunch hour...
By the time I was available for lunch, it\'s long past the regular lunch hours. Most of the nice food around the office would have been sold out by now.. Thus I decided to make do with a quick soupy meal instead. Bought a regular Tokyo Chicken Stew from the Soup Spoon. It came along with a little bread bun, which I suspected to be focaccia, as it has a nice herbs aroma. The bread was warm when served, which made me very happy!! The soup was still pipping hot when I returned back in office (yes, I da-bao AGAIN...).I could almost burn my tongue if I\'m not careful. But that\'s the way I loved my soup to be..pipping hot!!So I was very pleased with the temperature. The soup was crowded with lots of chunky ingredients:chicken, shitake mushroom, straw mushroom, celery, carrot, some raddish/lotus like vegs, etc.The chicken was nice and tender. It crumbled in my mouth at first bite.Oishii!!!The soup was light and sweet (with the ingredients\' flavour).Nice fragrance & very appetizing. The regular size soup cost $7.A bit expensive for me, but at least it was an enjoyable meal! Spending: Approximately SGD 7.00
Always packed with people, hard to find seats. Service is always harried and rushed. Food was tasty butrather over-priced for soup. Tried almost everything on the menu. Chicken Stew was alright with lots of meat and veges. The mushroom soup was great too. Simon and Garfunkel was typical tomato-based canned soup, but expanded with more ingredients. The soups usually come with a bread roll. Can be rather dry. Rather unfilling and somewhat oily, leaving your lips and mouth all greasy. Rather salty too. Nothing memorable. Just over-priced and over-hyped.
Ordered two set meals, one consists of minestrone soup, ice lemon tea and half chicken tikka wrap for $11.10 and another set consists of mushroom soup, cheese naan and ice lemon tea for $15.20. I love minestrone soup! The sweet and sour taste and the tomatoe taste, love it! Chicken tikka wrap is not that fabulous, there seems to be a lot spices added and the spices overwhelmed the chicken taste. The cheese naan is another nice dish.
the first thing that attract me to this soup spoon outlet is the nice furnishing. this outlet has very different style compared to the other outlets in which it has somewhat like a garden theme to it. so it gives me somewhat a romantic touch. of cause the soups are nice but i felt the new chef special = Black Bean Chilli with Beef Stew is not that nice.Spending: Approximately SGD 15(Dinner)
I lovethe soup spoon. Eating here is a rare treat. one of my favourite dishes is their soup in bread. Their soup is thick and chumky, filled with delicious ingredients and when eaten with the accompanying bread which holds the soup, is a unique and satisfying meal. absolutely delicious!!
I am a big Fans of mushroom soups and a mushroom lovers Soup spoon specialize in all the different soup and their concept of service is like a fast food whereby consumers have to queue to place your orders Looking at their menu , the mushroom soup caught my first attention and i ordered my usualSimon and Garfunkel Chicken and Mushroom Ragout It goes well with the bread ...Oh My god ...the taste was different from any mushroom soup i have ever tasted !
Velvety Mushroom Stroganoff + Cheese Naan ($6.90 + $3.00) I wanted to try this restaurant since long long time ago. So finally i have the chance! I love mushroom so i ordered this velvety mushroom stroganoff! It is really creeamy like velvet! and the mushroom flavour is perfect for me, not too strong or too mild. The cheese naan is normal but tasted nice with the stroganoff.
In Vivo again with no idea what to eat! So we walked and walked and stumbled into Soup Spoon and just stood there considering, staring at their menu. On it, it says you can have a sample of any soup they are selling. So I tasted Tangy Tomato as I would never have ordered that on my own. Let\'s just say I ended up inside Soup Spoon with hubby and happily eating our: 1) Clam Chowder - hubby ordered this and I found it slightly bland but very filling as a meal. 2) Tangy Tomato - like I said, it was out of my expectation that I would actually live this taste. It\'s tangy but savory, very easy to finish as a meal as its so appetizing. 3) Chicken Tikka Wrap - hubby needed something else other than soup for dinner. He said it was nice enough. Definitely a come-back-to as its under 300 calories for a full dinner! Technically if I eat this everyday for every meal, I\'ll lose weight in no time!!
I am a huge fan of soup spoon and would dine in there rather often. However, I was disappointed when I dined in at Ion Orchard soup spoon. The service there isn’t up to standard and the spicy wedges I ordered tasted differently from the ones I ordered at other outlets.
I always thought that soup spoon only serves soup, but I am so wrong! They have lots of other dishes too. I tried the Asian tofu salad and I AM IN LOVE WITH IT! The sauce that came along with the salad is so tasty. I need more of soup spoon from now on! xx
Went to try out at the soup spoon. This is the mushroom soup that i had ordered. It is pretty nice but if it is too much, is abit over. Cause is too creamy I like the soup as it goes wellwith real mushroom taste... the taste is so authentic It also goes well with the bread and definitely you need drinks too ^^ ! as for the drinks, you may like to order ice-lemon tea
went to soupspoon since we have decided to have something light. ordered the pumpkin soup with one free mini-bread ( another is given by my colleague ) previously at vivocity, i have almond slices for add-on, but since they do not have the almond slice therefore, the staff replaced yogurt for me. verdict: not a good topping to goes with pumpkin soup but the staff service was rather good, as we requested for a softer bread they really did choose for us a softer one will go back again ! Spending: Approximately SGD 6+(Lunch)
I\'m satisfied with the food and service provided here. I\'ve always liked the Simon and Garfunkle chicken ragout, and would consistently order it on every single visit, occasionally trying other soups like the clam chowder and beef goulash. The chicken ragout has a creamy tomato base and is chock full of chicken bits and different types of mushrooms topped with sour cream. The beef goulash has a stronger taste, and I enjoy the tartness of the tomato soup. The beef chunks are also tender and make a satisfying meal. I usually upgrade my soups to a value meal with iced lemon tea and caesar salad. Spending: Approximately SGD 12
This is one of my favourite selection at The Soup Spoon as it is tasty and low in calorie (less than 200 calories). Hence, I will recommend to those who are on diet. As it is clear soup, one can easily finished it (usually I will not be able finished the mushroom or pumpkin soup without sharing with someone else as I find that these are too heavy). As it is served with a fresh wholemeal bread, I will not recommend one to top up additional $4.80 for the complete meal (which is served with additional sandwich or wrap and ice tea or muffin or apple), else one will feel too full.Spending: Approximately SGD 7(Lunch)
sorry for the disintegrated sandwich pic cause was too hungry so only remember to take the pic after cutting open the bread. anyway, quite a fan of soup spoon but one thing i dont like about their stuff are the sandwiches and wraps... somehow they just do not taste as nice as their soups and there is this funny taste to the sauces they used that i do not really like it. and the salad that comes with the bread is quite horrible, mayb is just to me that i dont like the vinegar taste in the salad BUT their other salads are much better
my fav soups are chicken Ragout and beef goulash, never fail me coz they always taste so nice. the tangy tomato is oso a good choice esp when eaten with the bread bowl coz the bread tend to soak up the soup taste. their spicy wedges are great sides to share too. the stuffed mushroom was great but i think the standard kind of drop now so it wasnt as nice as before. & 1 bad thing abt soup spoon is the seating arrangement, the seats and tables r always so cramp up that is very hard to walk in & out during the meal. Spending: Approximately SGD 10(Dinner)
I like how soup spoon show their menu with the calories intake. Though some of the soup are high in calories, we are still able to keep track on the intakes. The mushroom soup is my all-time favorite! You can really eat or bite the entire mushroom from the soup. The ceasar salad is somehow different from others as well. With the additional dries fruit and bacon bits, makes a person who hate to eat raw vegetable to actually finish up the entire bowl.
Frankly I\'m quite impressed with my first visit. I had the beef goulash soup set with penne salad and iced lemon tea. The beef goulash is really heart warming, simple, and full of veggies and chunks of beef, more like a stew than soup, really. Came with a warm, soft roll..the combination of the two is pretty good. The penne salad was alright, penne was abit rubbery but the mushrooms that came with it were absolutely good. I actually quite like their ice tea which is not too sweet.
Finally went to The Soup Spoon after a really long time. Miss their soup! Got the tokyo chicken stew. The stew was served pipping hot, with the chicken pieces being quite lean and and celery bits still retaining abit of its natural crunchiness. Very tasty and appetizing. Love to dip their bread in the soup too!Spending: Approximately SGD 8
It was a cold rainy evening when i happened to come across this outlet of Soup Spoon on my way of going home. I decided to stop by to get a packet of soup to heat at home later for dinner. Boston Clam Chowder is an old favorite so it became a default choice. It was very thick and contains of chunky clams and a mixture of soft enough celery greens and potatoes readily to melt in your mouth. And, the chewiness of the clams brought upon the enhancement to the overall texture. Such a ready packed soup is always a life savior particularly on a busy or a lazy day, or even late at night when you are feeling hungry and wanting something warm before a good night sleep. That is the reason why i always ended up having a packet or two ready packed soup from The Soup Spoon stored in my refrigerator for one of those moments. Strongly recommended.
The Soup Spoon is a restaurant chain with a very convincing concept. Msg and other artificial ingredients are banned and the nutrition is listed for all soups. The ambience is clean and sober which makes the Soup Spoon a fast food chain for the health conscious. Definitely not a place for romantic dinners or chilling out with friends though. The soups taste nice and are of consistently good quality. They are not too salty so you won\'t feel thirsty afterwards. The selection is limited so do not plan on eating there every day;). Actually a shorter menu is a good sign as it indicates that all soups are fresh and home made. You can make it a filling meal and add any salad or sandwich plus an apple or a drink to your soup. This set is priced at SGD 12.Spending: Approximately SGD 12(Dinner)
I came here on a weekend for brunch and it was considerably empty. There are quite a number of choices of soup and sandwiches, and they are always coming up with new creations. However, most of the time, I would stick to my favorite mushroom soup. The mushroom soup is very creamy and full of slices of fresh mushroom and their quality is pretty consistent. I ordered the set meal, which comes with a drink and a half sandwich or wrap.
all the soup taste nice, rich & full of yummy ingredients... the spicy wedges is a nice snack too add on... breadbowl is nice too coz dont get to try it often at other places... however personally i dont really like their sandwiches nor wraps... the sauce is abit not to my likingSpending: Approximately SGD 10
What I like about The Soup Spoon is that they come up with new soup specials every month. For the month of August, they had the French Ratatouille, Braised Chicken with Wolfberries and Daun Salam, and A Mid-Summer Night\'s Beef Stew. Since I want something healthy, I tried the French Ratatouille, while my companions tried the other 2. It was served really hot, which was good because it was freezing inside their outlet at Tiong Bahru. It was also served with a small piece of bread which was yummy especially when you dip it in the soup. Anyway, the soup was really thick and was just served generously with potatoes, carrots, beans, peas, zucchini, and other veggies minced to mix well with the sauce. It wasn\'t salty as they do not use MSG in all their soups. =D Over all, I enjoyed my soup at The Soup Spoon. Cannot wait to come back to try the others.Spending: Approximately SGD 10
My mom bought a takeaway packet of soup from Soup Spoon. My all-time favorite was the pumpkin soup, but not after I tried this. It was delicious. I can taste the richness and loaded amount of vitamin C in it! The basil adds a hint of goodness. It’s a really refreshing, healthy yet filling dish.
Best SandwichA BIG SERVING For all soup lovers, even if you\'re not, you must try Soup spoon. Their serving is so big, that even if you buy the smallest portion, you\'ll be extremely full! Nonetheless, the soup are really very appetising and delicious! Adding up to it, it\'s also very healthy. One of the thing i like about soup spoon is that there\'s a calorie count chart outside the shop, showing the calorie of each soup per portion. For health-conscious people, soup spoon is the best choice. Other than that, i think you can get a sandwich and a drink/muffin @ around 6-8 dollars topup. Really worth the money! The staffs there are also very friendly, service is good! The environment is nice and clean.
The Soup Spoon is one of my favourite place for a quick and healthy meal and i especially frequents the outlets at either City Hall or Bugis Junction.Personally i got sick of the thick gravy and chunky meats and i guess maybe once in a while is okay to have a meal there as im always on the run for quick and healthy meals. Their mushroom soups is one of my old time favourite as you can see the bits and pieces of mushrooms. Every $5 you spend, you are given 50 points in a rewards card which i recently had almost a free meal at Bugis Junction as i had almost $10 worth of points. They have monthy additions of new menu selected by reviewers/members and last month i tried their special of the month which was Dutch peas soup and i though i could get the old fashion Dutch old pea soup but was disappointed that not only the soup was very thick but also no flavour of Dutch peas. Nevertheless, i would still go there but once in a while as thick soup is not really my cup of tea but because we can get a nutritious, quick and healthy meal at The Soup Spoon.
Settle lunch at soup spoon with my friends. Basically, there are a wide variety to choose from.So i ordered this for lunch! taste not bad I like the concept of soup spoon. It comes with a bread or sandwich or roll. According to their website- All time favourite (Available daily) Beef Goulash (Beef/Dairy/Gluten Free/307cal) Prime beef cut stewed with the infamous paprika and loaded with starchy vegetables to make it a meal in itself. Boston Clam Chowder (Seafood/Pork/Dairy/Gluten/425cal) Each scoop contains chunky clams mixed with the celery greens and potatoes that are so soft they simply melt in the mouth. In contrast, the chewiness of the clams and the crunchiness of the celery bring about a wholesome meal. Meatless Minestrone with Gremolata (Vegetarian/DairyGlueten/194cal) Feast for the eyes with the wonderful burst of colours - the green and white flesh of zucchinis, the blood red kidney beans, the plump tomatoes, the fragrant aroma of fresh basil and the multi-coloured farfarlle. Thick with ingredients, each mouthful is a burst of flavours with the gremolata giving a slight garlicky after taste. Roasted Pumpkin with Caramelized Apple & Toasted Almonds (Vegetarian/Dairy Free/Gluten Free/130cal) Pumpkin roasted to perfection with a blend of spices. The apple & almonds give a surprise flavour and added crunch. Tangy Tomato with Basil (Vegetarian/Dairy/Gluten/266cal) Concocted by Souper Chef, Anna Lim. It is a vegetarian puree of roasted tomatoes and basil. Orangey hue with a tinge of red, this soup is creamy and has the smell of freshly roasted tomatoes blended to perfection. On first taste, it slides down the throat with smoothness, first tasting tangy and then slightly spicy…leaving a warm tingling after taste. Tokyo Chicken Stew (Chicken/Dairy Free/Gluten Free/177cal) Succulent chicken seasoned in The Soup Spoon’s homemade marinade to form the delectable teriyaki flavoring known the world over. Simple and authentic, the marinated chicken is simmered in a broth of sake and mirin with an assortment of oriental vegetables like lotus roots, shitake, enoki mushroom, white radish, bamboo shoots making this a hearty and well balanced meal. Velvety Mushroom Stroganoff (Vegetarian/Dairy/Gluten/252cal) Feels almost like eating fresh mushrooms out of the field. The mushrooms are so smooth, they glide down the throat. This soup is overpowering with the aroma of mushrooms perfect for mushroom lovers. I feel that this concept works out to make people feel healthy about the food they ordered and eat. Interesting meal. Would come back some day!
tried their mushroom soup & tokyo chicken stew soup we ordered combo set Mushroom soup-nice & creamy, but have to depend,as sometimes i went it taste creamy & nice but sometimes abit blend tokyo chicken stew soup - nice, not oily, chicken was soft with some slice of mushroom i love the smoked ham & cheese sandwhiches super nice,i don\'t know the bread name but got the herbs smell but taste nice the bread look "tough, hard" but in fact is quite crunchy the only thing that i don\'t like about this was the store was too small,is so crowded & we got to share table with others. overall i would rate 8/10 for this Spending: Approximately SGD 13(Dinner)
I am a Souperholic, no doubt about it. I love hot soup and crazy about all type of soups. The Soup Spoon has been a great find for me and i am a regular since then. I happened to be at Fusionopolis for a meeting and happy to come across this outlet. I love soup but hate the hassle of going through the process of cooking it at home. And, i am glad that vacuum packed for different type of soups are well available at their outlets island wide. I have the habit of getting a packet or two and have them kept refrigerated at home. So,i just need to have them pour in a pot and heat it when i want some hot soup. How convenience can that be? My all time favorite has always been their Meatless Minestrone. I love the delightful color and enjoy the zucchinis, the kidney beans, the tomatoes and the farfalle in the soup. And, i love the irresistible enticing aroma filling my kitchen when heating up the soup and also the slight garlicky after taste. It reminded me of those winter nights and the many bowls of hot soup that helped to warm my stomach during my university days. Highly recommended.Spending: Approximately SGD 7.60
The Soup Spoon has been here for years but it was only till this year I had meals there. We wanted something light before our movie, hence my brother suggested this. We thought it was a good idea since I had not tasted the dishes before. I wanted to just share my set meal of soup - Simon and Garfunkel Chicken and Mushroom Ragout, a banana muffin and iced lemon tea with my hubby. However, he was so tempted with the Pot pie and he ended ordering another Velvety Mushroom Stroganoff soup. I love the simon soup very much! It was so creamy and tasty and I love the chicken chunks in the soup. As for the mushroom soup, it was really full of mushrooms and I find it too creamy for me to finish one bowl of that on my own, but I can finish one bowl of that simon soup though. ;) The iced lemon tea was refreshing and has that kind of homemade tea with fresh lemon. I like it. The wrap and Spicy Herby Cheesy Wedges were also great and filling to the stomach. We laughed at ourselves for saying we wanted to eat light! This meal had made us realize that soups can be very filling and delicious and they can be eaten as main courses as well. I was even thinking to myself that next time I can even buy the pre-packed soup and warm it up as meals at home.
I ordered the clam chowder soup regular size which costs $8.90. As usual, The Soup Spoon never fails me. Their soup is always tasty and filling to the stomach. I like the smooth texture of the soup which is comforting to the taste buds. It comes with a small complimentary bun which taste great when dipped in the soup.
The place for nice creamy hot soups! I\'m in love with the mushroom soup....fattening & creamy but taste so good! I prefer the puff pastry instead of the bread bowl. The bread bowl is too big and I couldn\'t finish even 1/2 of the bread. The fried mushrooms we ordered were really juicy too! Nice!
My current favourite restaurant. It has a nice ambiance and most of the time, I\'m able to find a seat after buying my meal. Hence, normally I will go and chill alone there. Normally I will get a soup (which comes with a mini bun which I love as well) and add on sandwich and Ice Lemon Tea. That will cost about 10+? And it\'s already quite fulling for me. Their beef goulash, my favourite dish there, has both quality and quantity! With many big size of beef and other vegetables, and taste so superb!
I always had Velvety Mushroom Stroganoff with Chicken musroom wrap. Just had a mushroom craving on that day. The whole bowl of soup is mushroom based( as suggested by its name), very thick and very filling. It is velvety indeed, very smooth to the throat but too creamy for my liking, such that it is hard to finish a bowl by myself. So it would be best to share the soup with a friend. The wrap was just normal, did not leave much of an impression. Just the basic, chicken mushroom and cheese with some vegetables.
Looking for a healthier alternative to eating fried and oily food, my friend and I settled ourselves at The Soup Spoon after our KTV session. Ordered their SouperValue Combo Meal for $11.10 which comes with the soup of our choices - Meatless Minestrone with Gemolata and a Salad - Thai Chicken Vermicelli. Their Minestrone soup comes with a bread for us to dip into. It truly warms our tummy and soothes our soul. Every mouthful is full of the different ingredients of zucchinis, kidney beans, tomatoes, fresh basil and pasta. Really appetizing. The Thai Chicken Vermicelli is made up of Vermicelli, Lemon grass Chicken, Celery, Carrot, Cherry Tomato, Pea Sprout and some other vegetables. The sauce taste both sweet and sour. It\'s raw, fresh, cold and healthy.
Went for a dinner gathering with my ex-colleagues at MBFC today. Walked around and finally decided on The Soup Spoon. Vegetarian Minestrone is my favourite and a must-order whenever I patronise the eatery!
Well, a background: SG Wannabe is a Korean singer with the full name "Simon n Garfunkel Wannabe". And well, at Soup spoon, there\'s a soup called the Simon and Garfunkel Chicken Soup! I never tried this one before since I\'m bored with the usual mushroom that is famous but I guess has bore me. I was lucky enough to get the bread piping hot from the toaster - had to wait but its of worth! Love their soft little bun to soak to the soup! Added pepper but didn\'t make much of a difference. It was filling in a sense that it had a lot of chicken bits and the vegetables. But it really didn\'t grew on me, tastewise was OK but not super wow delicious!Spending: Approximately SGD 7.5
Saturday afternoon at Tanjong Pagar area, it was around 3pm, you could imagine how quiet it would be.I was starving, very obviouse! My stomach was too empty,I urgently needed some food. Most of the eating places at TP Mrt were closed, I tried my luck to walk further and saw this was still open, there were 2 couples dining. The friendly staff greeted me and I ordered my same old favourite, mushroom soup~regular size.Due to my urgency of food, I added hummus wrapped too.Oh, I didn\'t expect the portion was quite big to me. Mushroom soup was the same taste, same consistency, having a bowl could filled up my stomach 80%.I was looking at the hummus wrapped, how was I going to finish it off!I tried my best and off I cleaned the plate .Good was the meal contained no meat.I was really contented. While I was enjoying my food slowly, the 2 couples left the restaurant. The friendly staff won\'t come to bother me, they just let me stayed whenever I wanted.Spending: Approximately SGD 10(Lunch)
Have tried the roasted pumpkin soup before once, but this time round it was actually garnished with a sprinkling of roasted almond. The almond was crunchy and added flavour to the sweet soup. Soup itself was filling, but we were given the choice of completing it into a set meal to include a drink and a small main dish. The main dish and drink provided some relieve to the thick soup which can get a little too much after drinking most of it.
I am huge huge huge fan of the Tangy Tomato with Basil soup!!! Am always craving for soup spoon whenever I feel fat or that I just need some comfort food. Always have to pay a few more cents to have an extra bun to go with the soup but it’s totally worth it.Their bread is really tasty! Dip it, slurp it, eat it! Oh do go for the SouperValue Combo Meal which includes a soup, either a salad or sandwich and either a pack of chips or apple.
I have been start looking out for healthy food ever since I start my diet, 2 years ago. Soup spoon is a very nice and healthy restaurant for those who are on diet! When I was looking at the menu, Kcal is stated just beside every soups. As I know is I want to maintain my weight, I have to eat 1600kcal per day, it really helps by enabling me to count the kcal. Next will be the taste. I must say that the soup, salad, sandwich, wrap, and sides are delicious and quality! Especially the salad, I love the Thai Chicken Vermicilli and Asian Tofu because they are using the same sauce. The ingredients they used are really fresh! For the main dish, Roasted Pumpkin with Caramelized Apple & Toasted Almonds has been my all time favourite! However, most of my friends like their Simon and Garfunkel Chicken best. Not oily at all yet thick and smooth is all I can describe. For those who love mushroom soup, Velvety Mushroom Stroganoff is highly recommended! The chunk of mushroom is just so filling and the soup is the most creamy I have ever tasted. For the sides, sometimes I will pamper myself with more kcal and carbo, so I will just go ahead with their naan, especially the cheese naan. It is worth eating as I do love bread. Normally I will change the soup bread to cheese naan to prevent over filling. The naan tastes especially crispy and nice when it is served hot! So I always eat the naan immediately after it is served. It also tastes nicer with creamy soup. However, it is only available at the Raffles City outlet. The SouperValue Combo Meal is really worthy. It includes one soup (regular, medium or grande size), choice of either a salad or sandwich and choice of either a pack of chips or apple or ice tea. Additional $3.90 to the price of your soup.
In Soup Spoon, just like commonly found, some of the salads contain mostly greens (example: Caesar) but the rest like Asian Tofu Salad, the overall most visible ingredient in it is the fried tofu that\'s cut into reasonable cubes, bite sized. I happened to have the Asian tofu salad and it was pretty good. There were tofu, a small serving of green lettuce, peeled mandarin oranges, sunflower seeds, shaved carrots and cherry tomatoes. Sesame oil dressing was also served separately. Overall, the salad was not too bad as the vegetables used were fresh and the mandarin oranges were really sweet and juicy but like I have mentioned, the tofu took up about 70% of the dish. So if you aren\'t a fan of bean, you might wanna try something else on the menu.Spending: Approximately SGD 6(Lunch)
Soup spoon have lots of outlet but this new outlet at marina bay link is 1 of the outlet i alway go, they come in set meal or ala cart. The set meal come with a drink and sandwich and also a bowl of soup!.. I like their si-chuan soup that is abit sour and a little spicy, i recommendyou people to order a set meal because the soup itself is quite a huge potion and with the sandwich and drink is actually enough for you to feel full. There\'s many other soup like mushroom creamy soup and etc etc. Their sandwich is quite a huge potion and the filling is alot, worth to try and worth the price!.. A set meal cost about > $8 onward! depend on which set meal you getting. Nevertheless the staff are all friendly and polite toward all customer, any customer go in the shop they put in an effort to greet =) !!
You\'ll never believe it. I was blown away the very first time I dined at Soup Spoon! I especially love their all time favourite soups such as Beef Goulash, Meatless Ministrone, and Chicken stew! I always order the Soupervalue Combo Meal now whenever I\'m there. Because the combo meal includes your favourite soup, choice of any salad or sandwich and either a pack of chips or apple! And it\'ll cost only about $12!! It\'s super worth it! However I wouldn\'t say the ambience of the restaurant is very good. It is well furnished definitely, but the frequent crowds and patrons can sometimes create a din. I wouldn\'t want to stay long in the restaurant after my meal cause it\'s not exactly a comfortable and relaxing place to chill at, especially when there is usually a long waiting queue outside posing a rush. It is usually a finish and go thing. That is a minus. Overall, I would recommend this place if you are up for a hearty meal, but not looking to while your entire night away at the restaurant. Definitely not a place for gatherings! Spending: Approximately SGD 15(Dinner)
I love Soup Spoon. I somehow do believe that fans of Soup Spoon has a larger percentage of females rather than males. Soup Spoon is a light but filling and hearty meal, great especially for late dinners. You can be sure about all the nutrients you would be getting yet at a low-calorie intake. To have a set, you can choose either an additional salad or sandwich plus either a drink or an apple. Last week at lunch, as I already had late and heavy breakfast, I only ordered a bowl of smallest size soup. That being my favorite flavor- Pumpkin. Just as usual, it was great except with a peak lunch hour working crowd. Spending: Approximately SGD 11(Lunch)
My favourite soups here will be the clam chowder and mushroom soups. Both are highly recommended and a must try. Try the new items like naan and tandoori chicken wrap.
Great soups that come together with a meal. The bread goes along nicely. I would recommend the clam chowder.
Great for a heart-healthy lunch. Nutricious and light, their Pumpkin Soup has always been my favourite. A set comes in a medium sized bowl of soup + salad or a sandwich. A good diet but the saying, "what you pay is what you'd get." doesn't come by casually. $10 for daily office set lunch would of course become "costly" in time to come.
