LG Electronics; not Far Behind the Race

By: Mark Hirst
The industry of electronics can be described more as a track race on having the lead in selling the most products that meet consumer's needs. LG electronics is one of those companies that continue to run the race and has already garnered a label of being one of the world's largest electronics and appliance maker. The top industry players were able to observe the performance of LG electronics giving a prediction to beat Apple and Sony. This perhaps was because LG made it to the list of hundreds of global brands in the market by 2005 and it continued to progress from that point on.

To date, LG electronics continue to produce high quality home theater systems and an array of television units that appeal to those in the look for a higher sense of lifestyle. With this growth as time passes by, it wouldn't be something new if LG electronics would compete among other brands in the line of mobile technology.

On LG's release of the LG Kf700 3G Smart phones it brought about a bigger burden for its competitors with its distinct features. For some, they compare this model to the Samsung F700 where in reality it is more of the convenient and user friendly type. The Kf700 is a touch screen device that allows its user to control the functions and features programmed through touch, alphanumeric keypad functions, and the shortcut dial feature. This actually has taken a much bigger step on convenience for those who found Samsung F700's QWERTY keypad capability an added hassle. Most mobile users have already programmed themselves to be at ease with alphanumeric keys. The QWERTY keypad only works for probably the most patient of users as it does take time to get used with.

The LG Kf700 is equipped with a 3 mega pixel camera that enables user to do some automatic focusing and if light is not that much of abundance, the flash option can be used. The lens is also useful for video capturing and video calls given that the Kf700 is a handy 3G mobile handset. However, one thing to be given consideration of is its battery life. The LG Kf700 has only around 280 hours of stand by time and it gets lesser when using other media functions like the camera.

Speaking of other media functions, an FM radio and MP3 player can also be found as one of the Kf700's features. With an internal memory of 90mb, store all your video and music files on the phone and if it's not that enough, it can still be expandable up to 2GB of memory. Browsing through the internet anywhere you may be can now be made possible through the WAP and HTML features. To complement these two is the presence of the HSPA technology that allows a faster download of up to 3.6mbps.

What all these features on a serving plate, there is really not much more to ask. But it also goes to show that there will still be more in store for mobile users in the coming days knowing technological development and enhancement is a continuous flow.
