Nokia N93i: the New Breed of Camera Phones

By: Caitlin Lucy

When the camera was introduced, it was seen as a 'gimmick' to boost mobile phone sales by many. Even the most enthusiast might not have imagined the rate at which the mobile camera would evolve. Nokia's N series broke many barriers and orthodox perception of multimedia capabilities of mobile phones. In an attempt to cease initiative from its competitors who already crossed the 3 mega pixel mark in camera phones, Nokia had launched the Nokia N93 and recently the Nokia N93i to give its users great video footage other than great pictures.

Compared to its earlier make, the Nokia N93i is much lighter at 163 gm.

The handset is fairly large but way smaller than your digital camcorder. The twist and rotating 16 million TFT colour display of the Nokia N93i makes its easy to shoot videos just like any camcorder. Videos are recorded at 30 frames per second compared to the industry norm of 15 frame per second. Primary camera module is 3.15 megapixel and have the power of Carl Zeiss lens. Optical zoom, integrated flash, autofocus, anti Red-eye, timer - the Nokia N93i competes with your digital camera in more than one way.

You can print 'real' photographs to be kept in an old fashion album or choose to store them digitally or share via MMS, Email or any other way today's technology has to offer. A much weaker VGA camera is incorporated enabling the user to make and receive video calls across UMTS networks. Voice clarity across triband GSM network around the globe is second to none. This S60 platform based, Symbian OS operated smart phone has the ability to give you fastest possible data speed in 3G network. GPRS and EDGE (Class 32), HSCSD, WiFi and other connectivity options like Infrared, Blue tooth v2.0, USB 2.0 makes the one of the strongest communication tools available today.
