Regent Hotel turns 18 years old this year and this is proudly showcased in its exterior. Stained walls, a slightly outdated design and its less-than-fashionable entrance might make you think twice about entering, but the one thing that you should know is that Regent Hotel has an inner beauty that hasn't faded with time. It is still a 5-star hotel and it will not allow age to come in the way of remaining at the top of its class. The large lobby might seem dull and slightly outdated with its faded carpets and old fashioned sofas, but it's to be expected coming from one of Kuala Lumpur 's oldest hotels. The high ceiling and the fountain makes for a grandioso welcome but its design seems slightly dated for the 21st century. The rooms are surprisingly well-persevered though and you'd be impressed with its condition. Like a fountain of youth, it is as if the hotel hasn't aged, from the neck up that is. The rooms are fairly spacious and are very well-kept. Regent Hotel is a name synonymous with Bintang Walk, thus putting it at an advantage over many other hotels. There are many entertainment, dining and shopping outlets around the area and feet's will ache, sweats will break, tummies will be filled and pockets will be emptied. Areas of interest within the vicinity include Star Hill Gallery, K.L Plaza , Lot 10, Sungei Wang Plaza and Berjaya Times Square. SD's take on Regent Hotel Kuala Lumpur
