Give Credit Its Due Whether you have a lot of credit card debt or are debt free, you have to give credit its due. Let's face it; there are some things that are difficult to do without having credit. Plus, you need to have credit to get credit. With so much talk about the problems brought about with credit card debt, I doubt anyone would disagree, ideally, it's best to be debt free.
