This friendly mid sized hotel has the facilities of a top hotel yet it is very economically priced. It was built in 1997, so the building and rooms are relatively new.
In the spacious lounge there is a coffee shop called Samara , opened 24 hours and logically selling coffee as well as Indonesian style dishes and Western food. Next to it, a business centre and shop can be found where internet, fax and copy machines take care of all your communication needs. Souvenirs and daily groceries such as medicines and newspapers are available as well.
The downstairs restaurant serves a buffet breakfast every morning in a nice setting and a view of the pool. A cake shop situated at the corner of the lounge is also worth paying a visit since it features freshly baked ‘kedaton' bread and other munchies for sweet tooth.
Luckily, losing some pounds instead of putting them on is also a possibility since the Kedaton hotel features a gym called Gahana with aerobic class, a steam bath and a sauna. There is the pool of good size that has a whirlpool on the far end. Then there is the small Kaputrian spa where you can get a boreh leaves massage or aromatherapy to put your mind and body at ease. There are three massage rooms and an experienced staff so you will find yourself in safe hands.
Since the Kedaton mostly caters to business travelers, all facilities to conduct affairs as smooth as possible are available. There are 2 meeting rooms that can seat up to 200 people. There are several meeting packages available with catered lunch and fullboard packages including overnight stays to suit your needs.
After all that serious talk, there's no better way to relax other than to sing your heart out at the Kinanti karaoke pub . This café provides 12 private rooms and a large communal hall where all favourite tunes can be sung in or out of key.
The 120 rooms Kedaton has are, just as the rest of the hotel, in good shape and look fresh and clean. They all have a/c, IDD telephone and satellite television, refrigerator and mini bar. The private bathrooms obviously all have hot water, a shower cabin and Western toilet. The deluxe and executive rooms pretty much have the same facilities except that the latter ones have coffee and tea making facilities and a king size bed. The junior suites are more spacious and have a separate seating area. Ask about ‘long stay packages' if your stay in Bandung is longer than a month because the Kedaton offers some attractive discounts on roomrates.
All facilities, including the fitness, the steam bath and sauna are free of charge for guests which make this friendly hotel a very good deal. The rooms and facilities are well maintained and look spotlessly clean while the staff is friendly and welcoming. Overall, taking into account the price and what you get, this hotel would be value for money with top facilities and service for economical prices.
