An extreme preview of the pure adrenalin rush from being catapulted 60 metres in the air would be a ride on the G-MAX. Introduced in 2003, the G-MAX has gained popularity amongst locals and tourists.
Located in the entertainment hub of Singapore, the G-MAX is the only activity in Clarke Quay that gets your stomach churning and your heart pumping fast and hard. Thrill seekers will be happy to pay S$35 to experience a ride similar to that experienced by astronauts during a rocket launch.
Bungy cords between two 35-metre towers suspend the open-air steel capsule that holds two to three people. If you don't have any prior engagements with the cardiologist, G-MAX promises a safe and exhilarating adventure available from 3pm to 1am (weekdays) & 12pm to 3am (weekends). There's no time to scream as this ride allows the capsule, attached with bungee cords, goes 60 metres up in the sky at a maximum of 200km/h.
According to Kobie Rhodes, General Manager of G-MAX Reverse Bungy, there are large crowds of tourist that regularly visit the area and never fail to hop inside the capsule. You can walk away with a T-shirt and a DVD recording of yourself in action, taken by the on-board camera, if you're willing to add a few more dollars. A moment (probably once in a lifetime) captured on video is worth every dime.
Kobie informed me that it was difficult to put an age limit on those eligible to enjoy the ride. Instead, customers are evaluated according to their weight and height due to saftey reasons. I suggest that if you're interested, pop by and make a quick enquiry.
