13 High Risk Dengue Clusters In SG

There has been a sharp rise of Dengue cases in recent weeks. 

Just last week alone had 437 reported cases, a spike from 292 cases from the week earlier.

The numbers may increase, as the hotter months of June - October will have higher transmission rates.

Here are the 13 high-risk clusters in SG 

(Have 10 or more cases within 14 days and are located within 150m of each other (based on residential and workplace addresses as well as movement history)

What preventative measures should you take if you live at/near these places? 

1) 5 Step Mozzie Wipeout:

  • Change water in vases/bowls on alternate days.
  • Remove water from flower pot plates on alternate days.
  • Turn over all water storage containers.
  • Cover bamboo pole holders when not in use.
  • Clear blockages and put BTI insecticide in roof gutters monthly.

2) Visit a doctor if you suffer from these symptoms:

  • Headache
  • Backache

3) Spray aerosol insecticide in dark corners of your home every day, such as underneath your bed and sofa, and behind curtains.

4) Apply insect repellent daily during the day. Wear long sleeves and pants for extra precaution.
