Located inside Fancy Marina Bay Sands, this Chinese restaurant gave me a surprise. Delightful dish and great decorations are what your eyes and taste buds can enjoy.
We always pass this Chineses Restuarant when we goes to MBS for lunch and decided to try it one weekend. This place far exceed expectation in taste and suprisely reasonable price in MBS location and set up as fine dining.
We ordered some very unusual Dim Sum, Prawn and Abalone Porridge, Seafood Crispy Noodle. The HK style Prawn And Abalone Porridge was very smooth, and tasty. It also goes well with wafer thin salmon skin. The noodle is crispy and served with a topping of fresh seafood gravy. The serving is enough for 4 persons. The Ancestor Yam Cake is very different from your usual pudding style yam cake. You can seestrips of yam and a few strips of pumpkin in between layers. The diamond cut yam is pan fried till golden brown.Sitting in the mini birdnest is a very fresh scallops. The birdnest is made up of mashed yam and fried golden brown that look like birdnest.Other Steam Dim Sum we ordered is Dinasaur Rice Roll. It is rice roll filled with crispy pastry, yam bean and topped with pork floss. It is like a combination of cheong fun and popiah. The soft and crispy texture and very tasty sauce is very good combination. The other is pork liver filling inside rice roll which I do not fancy.Sis ordered the Almond Milk in Papaya. It came served in a Hawaiian Papaya, which Sis said it is good.
Most plate and basket of Dim Sum is 3 pieces. They are happy to add the extra pieces and charged accordingly without having to order 2 portionsof each items even though there was 4 of us.
Overall the Dim Sum is above average, creative and total bill is very reasonable for so much food despite locating in MBS. Highly recommended to try their unusual Dim Sum.
Spending: Approximately SGD 35(Lunch)
漁 Yú Cuisine serves Chinese seafood and grills, at the same time incorporated the bar concept and serves champagne etc. The ambiance of the restaurant is great, you would have expected so since it is located at the famous Marina Bay Sands.
We have ordered the fried rice ($22) and a small plate of grilled pork ($22) for our lunch. The rice tastes very good, with nice texture too.The grills is alright, but I sort of expecting a \'fantastic\', hence it\'s a bit disappointing. The dessert is superb though! The D24 durian mochi ($6) looks so ordinary from the outside, yet after one bite, the rich flavour of D24 durian burst in your mouth! Awesome!Spending: Approximately SGD 30(Lunch)
