Ace Academy was started by a group of entrepreneurs and ex-MOE teachers who find that the current tuition market is too focused on rote-learning and drilling students to be exam-smart. Students end up spending loads of time cramming, and being pressured to remember more and more things in order to do well in exams.

We set out to offer tuition lessons that enable students to understand the concepts thoroughly and apply them correctly, and move away from memorizing pages and pages of facts. As Confucius said, ““I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.” Ace Academy’s inquiry-based learning approach emphasizes active learning through experiential and hands-on activities that build and reinforce the students’ knowledge of the subjects. We specialize in P1 to P6 programmes, covering all the subjects taught in primary schools, including Chinese.

Ace Academy also strives to help primary school students (and parents!) remove the stress of PSLE. We do this through preparing the students for academic Direct School Admissions (DSA). By securing a place in a top school before sitting for the PSLE, the pressure of a single exam determining a child’s academic future is substantially reduced.
