Shi Zi Qian Ju Wen
There are 4 books in ; Green, Red, Orange and Purple. There are altogether 3500 Chinese characters in these 4 books. These characters are stipulated by the Ministry of Education to be form part of the syllabus for Primary One to Secondary Four. Out of the 3500 characters, 1000 characters have been carefully selected to build around the context and cultures of Singapore.

comprises educational materials ranging from CD that invokes a rhythmic sense of the language; recognition of characters and phrases using pictorial flash cards; character flash cards; phrasal cards; assignment with reading material and cut-out boards that further assist children to read without Hanyu Pinyin.

Methodology builds around character recognition; phrasal construction; application; cultural and more. With contents closely tied to nursery rhymes; phonics; story-telling and role play alongside topics that are familiar to students.

Even with the constraints of time, students are exposed to the Mother Tongue language in an all-inclusive and interactive environment; with lively presentations and teaching methodology thatwill arouse the interest and improve the literacy level of the students and thus promoting their ability in reading.

is not new and had been taught in schools like Tao Nan Primary; Pei Chun Primary; Ai Tong Primary; Xing Nan Primary; Qi Hua Primary and Mee Toh Primary. All of which have received positive feedback and responses from both parents and students.

Evidently, students enrolled in had not only benefited from the learning of character recognition, phrasal word presentation and reading but also developing a deepened understanding and appreciation of the Mother Tongue language, excelled in this language and had emerged as top students in their respective schools.

识字千句文》教学介绍
《识字千句文》有四本书：绿草地、红苹果、向日葵和紫罗兰。书中的华文字是由教育部字表中小一至中四高级华文所学习的3500个字组成，有1000个句子，具有新加坡本土化的特点。

《识字千句文》配有教学辅助材料：语感律动CD、懂义图片、亲子游戏牌、句卡、作业、阅读材料、隔版、古诗拳等。课程采用：汉语拼音教学法、识字阅读教学法、词语阅读教学法、古典名著阅读教学法、词语应用写作教学法、华文文化活动教学法等。根据不同的年龄，采用不同的教学法。

在教学过程中识字、词语、应用、文化等内容紧密相连；儿歌、绕口令、故事、表演多种形式贯穿其中。在有限的时间内，创设更多的语言环境，生动形象、活泼有趣。培养学生学习华文的兴趣，并通过阅读形式的多样化，提高学生的阅读水平。

《识字千句文》曾经在新加坡的道南学校、培群学校、爱同小学、醒南小学、启化小学及弥陀小学等政府学校开课。受到学生、家长和学校的欢迎。实践证明，报读《识字千句文》的学生不仅对华文有浓厚的兴趣，而且通过识字、词语、阅读等训练，华文成绩也名列前茅。
