Collectors of swords quickly find that well made swords and authentic antique swords are quite valuable, but they do require care and maintenance to keep them attractive and valuable. Collectors have found that there are a number of different types of swords that exist, which have been used as weapons of the past by the noblest of men.

Samurai swords were used by Japanese warriors, who were known as the military of Japan. These swords were only allowed to be worn by samurai, plus these swords were used during combat and worn for a variety of ceremonial events and even for every day.

Swords were carried as a sign of status by members of royal families, noblemen, reigning monarchs, and other prestigious men through history. They are still carried by elite soldiers in the military, which may be commissioned officers or mounted cavalrymen.
