Fogging is one of the most preferred mold remediation methods that is widely used to clear the molds in office and at homes. Different companies have their own specially formulated fogging solution and it is the chemical composition that makes each solution uniquely potent. The fogging solution is patented and this chemical is sprayed using a fogging machine.



The size of the microns usually falls in the range of 5 to 20. Compared to the traditional mold remediation techniques, fogging is far superior. This makes sure that the chemicals reach all the nook and corner of the room and is not just sprayed superficially. This also infuses into the thickness of the wall reacting on the mold spores. However, the fogging liquid cannot reach for the area at the back of the wall.

To ensure that the mold remediation liquid reaches the far of and hidden mold infested places there should not be any obstruction in the path of the sprayer. Make sure that you cover all the furniture, fixture, documents, fabrics, electronic equipments and other valuables with a polythene sheet tightly protecting from the chemicals.

Fogging takes about 6 to 8 hours. You are not supposed to enter the mold remediation area for the next 8 hours after fogging and this is to allow the chemicals to settle down. So, you should be away from the treated place for at least a day. When you get back, you are welcomed by the fresh smell of hydrogen peroxide. This is not toxic and would fade after two days. Once you get into the house, all the exposed areas must be wiped clean with a moist cloth to remove the left over chemicals.
