First, you may not be aware in submitting articles to sites, that if you submit the same exact article to a lot of article sites, the search engines can and will mark it against you in your search engine ratings. From what I have just said, you may conclude that there are a lot of article submission sites, and you would be correct.
When you submit an article you also submit an author's box which includes one or two links to your sites. These are links the search engines see linking to you making your site more important to them, Also your links will be seen by anyone reading your article and by those who read other content, that has picked up and used your article. Article submission works so well because it creates a back link to your site and the search engines love one way links back to sites. Since others may pick up your article and use it for content on their site with the author's box included, this will give you even more back links.
Your article should contain useful information. No one wants to read a useless article with nonsense information. When submitting articles make sure you use your key words in the article, and choose keywords that have a competition level under 75,000 if possible. Keywords with searches of 2000 searches would be good. A keyword "density" of 6 percent would be good. Make sure, again, that your keywords are in your article. Again, keywords should be appropriate to the article, not massively competitive, and have a good search ratio. You use your keywords in the article so the search engines will see that the keywords are appropriate for the article. The article and its keywords must match the service or web link you are promoting. For higher search engine results this is extremely important.
You do not need to be an expert to write articles, you need to research and know what you are writing about however. Article submission is free, and can cause lots of traffic to come to your site. Submitting articles is a super way of gaining search engine ranking. All marketers should use it.
