Your voice is the first thing to touch a woman. It's the delivery vehicle for your words, the physical connection between your mind and hers. Your words go into her ears in the form of sound waves. And a strong, melodious voice can also make her internal organs resonate. So she actually ‘feels’ your voice as well as hears it.



Even more important is your vocal flexibility -- how spirited and animated you make your voice. This is what grabs a girl’s curiosity and interest, and compels her listen to what you have to say.

Listen to the sort of guy who always seem to be surrounded by women. Invairably he'll raise and lower his pitch and change his pace and emphasis from word to word, drawing certain words out to make them slow and leisurely, or tripping them out crisp and lively. And he'll draw women in with subtle and enticing pauses.

Then look at the way the women react to him. He hooks them because his sentences are entertaining and fun to listen to.

But listen to the way most people speak. Far too many sound the way a closely-typed memo looks. Everything is the same pace, the same volume, the same dull drone. There's nothing to entice and delight a listener.

And it's even worse when guys are shy or nervous -- when they have a tendency to hurry their words out, as though trying to get them over and done with before the female notices.

Take a cue from commercial announcers and actors. They train themselves to put flexibility into their voices. They make their sentences sound so interesting that they virtually force you to listen -- which, of course, is why they earn so much.

Turn on the radio or television and listen to them. But listen with your ears -- not with your content-focused conscious mind. Really 'hear' how they sound. Notice the color and variety in their voices. Listen to how they take individual words and make them bold and vigorous, low and seductive, calm and reassuring, enthusiastic and exciting, sweet and sexy.

How about YOUR voice?

How do you sound? Do you vary your words, use pauses, slow down at key points, emphasize key phrases? In short, do you attract and tantalize and appeal to your women? Or do you suffer from that flat, 'closely-typed memo' voice?

Take a word like 'exciting'. Do you say it so it sounds exciting, so that it makes a girl feel the meaning of the word? Or does it come out as just another part of a colorless flow?

What about a simple word like 'Hello'. Does it sound as though you're really pleased to be meeting her, as though she is delighting you by her presence?

And take a sentence like, 'That dress makes you look absolutely wonderful.' Think of the different ways you can say it. Think how you can change the meaning just by softening or drawing out a word. And think how you can make the word 'wonderful' sound wonderful just by the way you say it.

Your sentences have to be much more than just a succession or words. You need to speak so that you 'tease' a woman into listening intently. (And how would you say the word 'tease' in that last sentence to really make it come alive?)

Whatever work you do on your voice is going to pay QUICK dividends.

Three ways to make your voice more interesting

1. Make sure people hear what you're saying.

A lot of guys mumble their way through life and wonder why they never seem to get across to women. But, really, when it's an effort to listen to someone, why bother? So make sure you pronounce your words properly. Slow down if you have to. Make your vowels round and delicious. Make your consonants crisp and definite. And don't let your words slur into each other.

2. Get emphasis by changing pitch, not volume

Don't try to get emphasis through loud and soft. People just don't hear it. Try up and down instead. Take a word like 'seductive'. Instead of pushing out the 'duc', try starting off low with the 'se', then let your voice quickly sweep up on the 'duc', and then down again for the 'tive'.

3. Get variety by changing pace

Pull out the key words and phrases and s-l-o-w t-h-e-m d-o-w-n. You'll be amazed at how slow you can actually go -- and how much more interesting you sound. And for added effect, introduce pauses, especially just before key words. This will draw her attention in.

And here’s a great tip to get you sounding like a master seducer.

Go to your local bookstore and buy a cheap romance novel. Find a paragraph or two where the hero is romancing the heroine. Then talk the hero’s lines out aloud into a cassette or digital recorder, or your computer, or whatever you can find.

Listen to how you sound -- and especially how you can get more sensuality into your voice. Practice a few times until you can hear yourself absolutely dripping with lust.

And don’t be concerned if you think you’re using language you’d never be caught dead with. This is the kind of language women fantasize about -- and they devour those books like there’s no tomorrow.

You might as well help them live out their fantasies.
