The gasps, the smiles, the joy?



The feeling of goodwill and uplifting pride?

The satisfaction of accomplishment?

I can remember the first beauty pageant I directed very clearly. It was exciting and nerve racking at the same time.

The beauty of women strolling down the runway in elegant evening gowns. Cheers erupting from supportive friends and family members as the girls took their turn. I could feel the love in the room as if it was yesterday, yet it was 16 years ago.

Once I caught the bug I've never looked back. Directing Beauty Pageants has become a passion that continues to give me drive and purpose in my life.

After every Pageant I direct I know that I have assisted other women, girls, and even young boys, in increasing their self worth through developing presentation skills. These skills will continue to assist them through out their lives and carreers.

Most of the pageant directors I have met were usually contestants at one time. Some started as a Pageant Mom and loved the atmosphere and the joy it brought to those who participated and attended the events.

As a contestant your desire may be sparked by observing the director of the pageants you participated in. The director might symbolize someone who is control, glamorous, enjoying the process, and appears to be on top of the world.

Or maybe you thought the program could have been better organized, or just ran differently. Perhaps you believe you could add a style and panache that would be more entertaining and exciting.

As a viewer you might see things you enjoy, the entertainment, the crowning of the new royalty, the smiles of the contestants and the audience. On the other hand you may do things differently if you were the director.

These thoughts are the launching pad for pursuing directing your own pageant. Now you need to take action. You have made a decision that will take you into an industry that is filled with Beauty, Entertainment, Media, and Glamour.

The pageant industry promotes self growth. It is an industry that assists women in developing their individuality.
