Of course it is necessary to bring the right clothes, but there are five essential items every travel bag should have.

1. Comfortable Shoes

Comfortable shoes are essential in every travel bag. Everybody prepares the right outfits, for the casual times and for the fun times. Of course, every outfit is always matched up with the perfect pair of shoes. Often the perfect pair of shoes is not always the most comfortable. Take a pair of shoes that can blend between both fashion and function. Comfort is often a necessity.

2. Hair Straightener

A hair straightener is necessary for any bag you take when traveling both near and far. A straightener can help do last minute touches to drab hair. It can straighten hair that is wavy or frizzy. It can even add needed body and waves to flat hair. No bag travel bag should leave home without this hair arsenal.

3. First Aid Kit

Kids or not, every bag, car, home and travel bag should have a first aid kit. Cuts, scrapes, blisters and germs are not good matches. Having a first aid kit will help with issues that you never anticipate. A well stocked first aid kit should at least include bandages or varying sizes, alcohol pads, antibacterial wash, antibiotic ointment, gauze, medical tape and a cold pack.

4. Toiletries

Keeping up with hygiene is often not a forgotten essential when packing, but remembering all the pieces can be a task. You often forget how many hygienic needs you have. Remember hair toiletries like shampoo conditioner, and any necessary hair products. Remember body toiletries, like deodorant, cologne, toothbrushes and toothpaste and body washes. Of course, last but not least make-up, both creams and washes and the actual make-up itself.

5. Hair Dryer

Last but not least, never forget your hair dryer. Often hotels do have hairdryers available, but really those are just in case you forget your hair dryer. Often the heat settings are just at low and high, which seems to translate to loud and louder.
