Bjork is a sensation in her home country of Iceland, and whenever she raises an issue, most people listen. These days Bjork has beef with one of the country's biggest exports, aluminum. Bjork made her solo career debut in 1993 after she released her first solo album called Debut. It received positive reviews and propelled Bjork into instant international popularity. The following year she went on to win two BRIT Awards for Best International Female and Best International Newcomer.
