The past years cash back credit cards have become very popular for the consumer. There is nothing like earning a little something for the credit that you are receiving. It is no secret that we all pay for the credit we use and it is tiring the different charges that are placed on our account. When a credit card lender offers to give us a reward in the form of cash or points it makes the average consumer feel better about using the card. Over the years it has not been uncommon for a cardholder to receive hundreds of dollars in cash during the year. This type of insensitive quickly spreads causing others to want the same credit card.
The first company that made the cash back opportunity was the Discover® card. Since the credit card company found such success in getting new customers by using this method other companies soon followed suit. Even though Discover® led the way in cash back credit cards other companies such as MasterCard, Visa and American Express soon took a lion share of the customers. Many of the credit card companies pay 5% in popular categories like travel, home improvement stores, department stores, gas, restaurants and many more places that consumers will shop on a constant basis. Online shopping sites where popular retailers offer great bargains the credit card company's offer from 5% to 20% cash back rewards. One of the main things the consumer needs to make sure is that there is no cap on their cash rewards and that they never expire.
As America moves on, you're going to find that many people are going to be adding cash back cards to their wallet. Why would they do this, you might ask? As we learn how to control our debt and take advantage of rewards, many people are going to open their eyes up to savings and this is a great way to save on everything all the time. You don't need a sale price to take advantage.
Watching the news today, it has dawned on me that the new America loves to be frugal and this is exactly what the recession has shown us and there's nothing wrong with that. In fact, it would be nice if everyone on this planet didn't believe in debt. The credit card companies and everyone else wouldn't have to rely on the weak with fees, etc. Will this ever happen? No! We're a materialistic society. We love to make a $1 and spend $2. It's human nature to compete with our neighbors to have the best and latest thing. Are we all like this? No but a majority of us are.
I know I went off on a rant but this should go to show you on how you can save and there's nothing wrong with being “frugal”. There's a big difference between cheap and frugal and no one cares about your money situation other than you and your family and that's it.
Cash Back Reward Credit Cards
Procuring a credit card that offers cash back always sounds like a sound idea. What could be better than having cash back on all the purchases that you make with your credit card? It sounds too good to be true, doesnt it?
However, some cards will give you free cash, however it is often only 1% cash back. Notwithstanding, free cash is free money, right? Well, not all the time.
If you like to buy a lot of things in one month, this sort of credit card probably sounds good to you. However, you need to keep in mind that not all purchases will entitle you to a money back. Even if they claim to give you cash back on each purchase, they will only give you up to a certain amount per transaction. Also the company has a rigid limit on the amount that they will give back to their customers. If you read the little, bitty print on the form that you signed, you will see a paragraph with their limits in the terms and agreements.
This is one other way these companies get new customers. Though it's a good credit card to have and sounds good theoretically, however they will have to check your credit rating before they will give you their card.
Search various credit card companies to see what they are offering. You may be astonished to find a money back credit card that offers you exactly what you are looking for and want with a high cash back percentage, few limits on the amount they will give you back, and instant cash deposits when you make each purchase with their card.
Although these credit cards seem like a great thing to have, some companies will need your credit rating to be excellent too. But, there are credit card companies that offer these cards to people with a low credit rating to aid them rebuild their credit. Research all of your options.
What should your decision be? If you have a good credit rating, then this card is a great option for you. Research different card companies " there are cards out there that offer you up to 3% cash back and impose very few limits. If, all the same, you have a bad credit rating, you may want to find a credit card that will aid you rebuild your credit.
