Childrens Bed With Slide

    View:
Choosing your children's bed can be a stressful experience, depending upon the age of the child and the budget at your disposal it can be next to impossible to get the choice right. With such a wide variety of handmade, manufactured, multi level and themed bed types on the market the choices are seemingly infinite and while you may want to include your children's opinions in the selection process, whether they have ultimate say is rarely advisable.

Naturally, including your children's opinions in the decision making process when looking at a bed is the nice thing to do, it can however cause problems. If you have more than one child, jealousy is seemingly a constant problem. If one child gets to pick a gorgeous handmade bed the other will undoubtedly want the same. As a parent you should be able to cope with these problems but making sure you have ultimate say over the choice of the children's beds can be the best path to follow.

Handmade wooden beds are becoming an evermore popular choice of bed for youngsters. Not only are they well made and will stand up to the rigours of daily life, but they can also make a stunning design feature. Ensuring you buy quality should be your main concern; nobody wants a handmade bed with nails sticking out of it and with poorly sanded areas that may cause splinters. Finding a carpenter that is skilled and understands your needs is advisable.

Thankfully handmade children's beds come in a wide variety of styles. For girls there are styles such as the fairy bed and the angel bed, perfect for your little princess. For the boys there are brilliant styles such as the football bed with a huge football for the headboard and even a train and car bed for those with a penchant for forms of transport. Remember while the choice is yours it is your children's room so getting what you would have wanted when you were younger is hardly fair.

Another consideration should be the space at your disposal; it is easy when selecting a handmade or artificial bed to forget the dimensions of the room. Children's activities normally require a fair amount of floor space and by getting a bed that is far too large for the room will only result in a lack of space for the children to play. If floor space is a major concern it is possible to find handmade beds which are raised and hence retain space for the children's activities.

Your children's rooms are their private space and the choice of bed can make these an idyll of relaxation. Of course if they share a room, bunk beds are a great solution. Just try and sort out who is on the top bunk in good time to avoid any arguments. Your child's bed should be comfortable enough for them to chill and relax. By making the bed an appealing place to be, the usual fights that occur at bed time can be negated. This should be a primary concern as getting the children off to bed can be struggle at the best of times.

Hopefully this article will aid your decision making process when selecting children's beds. As stated before it can be difficult but with careful consultation with your children, the task can be made that much easier.
Childrens Bed With Slide
Choosing a children's bed can be a tough and laborious task. When selecting a bed it is difficult to keep everyone happy, obviously children's thoughts on what a bed should do are going to be different from those of adults. Choices are seemingly infinite and picking the right bed can be a make or break decision for your family life. Get it right and your children's praises will rain down upon you, get it wrong and your home life will be hell, it may not seem important but the decision can be crucial.

Children's beds on the market come in all manner of shapes and sizes. Whether you have a girl or boy can be an essential consideration, as can the rest of the styling in a children's bedroom. For instance a boy may be football mad, with football wallpaper and carpet; in this case buying him a train bed is undoubtedly going to cause friction. The same can be said for girls, with beds that resemble castles and even fairies, considering the decor should always be a consideration.

Then of course there is which material you wish your children's bed to be made from. Plastics are widely becoming the industry norm as they are able to be moulded into a variety of shapes at a relatively low cost. If looking for a bed with more character however, handmade wooden beds are available in the market. Far classier and hardwearing, wooden beds act as a happy medium between adult wants and children's desires.

One major consideration when considering a children's bed is the safety features that are involved. One thing that should always be included in any children's bed are side rails that prevent a child from falling out whilst they are asleep. Every parent dreads the thump in the night as there child falls out of bed. Injury may occur but also ensuring a parent's a full night's sleep is as important as the sleep of a child to reduce stress in the family environment.

Children's beds also come in the bunk variety offering those with limited space a handy space saving solution. For those parents who are putting siblings into the same room, bunks area perfect way to give both their own little space in the room and limit the conflict somewhat; that is once you have sorted who gets the top bunk. Bunk beds are also perfect for children's bedrooms that are quite small. By putting the bed at eye level floor space is saved and many beds now have desks or wardrobes underneath offering even more space saving solutions.

That is not to say that a children's bed just purely has to be a place to sleep. Some are combined with fun play area equipment ensuring children are never bored. A slide from the bed makes a perfect way to limit the troubles of getting kids up in the morning. By making their exit fun, getting out of bed soon becomes and activity. The same can be presumed when sending kids to sleep as if they can have fun in bed; they are more likely to head upstairs passively.

This is why ensuring you get the right bed is vital. First and foremost the child should be happy with it. If the child does not like his or her bed they will never go to bed happily or sleep soundly. A knock on effect of this is that parents are put under extra strain at bed times and throughout the night.

With so many on the market the choice is hard but ultimately worthwhile, when looking at a new children's bed, take them along and include them in the decision making process, this will pay dividends when it comes up to bedtime.
