The Mayan Calendar. What makes this calendar so important? Why all the fascination today about the Mayan Calendar? For one it is the most accurate calendar ever developed by man. It is so accurate that it foretells planetary, lunar, and solar events thousands of years before they happen. It is predicting something for us in 2012.

The Mayans used a series of cycles that made up larger cycles up to what we would call a long cycle.
