Different Types Of Rings

    View:
Have you ever been given a promise ring or plan to give one to someone? Did you know that this is a symbolic gesture of many things including love and affection? If you plan on getting one or have one already, you should remember that it's important to keep that promise.

For instance, did you know that a promise ring is good in cases of pre-engagements? What does this mean usually? It typically means the couple love one another and want to commit but are not ready for a fully-fledged engagement.

The second reason a promise ring may be given is for chastity. Parents are usually givers of this ring type to their child. The child will then keep this close to them as a reminder of the promise they made to their parents about being abstinent. This ring can also be a symbolism to staying drug, tobacco and alcohol free as well. All too often children are faced with difficult decisions about different substances. A promise ring is a great reminder.

Couples who value monogamy, but don't yet want a marriage can exchange promise rings or give promise rings as a way to signify their love and commitment without a piece of legal binding paper.

If you want to signify a lasting friendship, promise rings are the way to go. Promise rings between friends remind them that they always have someone to lean on in hard times.

So which finger should a promise ring go on? Well, for matters of the heart either the left or right ring finger will do for pre-engagements and monogamy. If the ring is to symbolize abstinence, the left ring finger should be where it goes. Eventually, this is to come off and be placed with an engagement and/or wedding ring. For cases of substance abstinence, any finger will do. However, left ring finger is preferable. If a friendship promise ring is being given, then any fingers, thumbs too, are fine.

Women sometimes wonder if it is appropriate to give a man a promise ring? Although not inappropriate, it's generally not done. Would you give a man an engagement ring? Chances are: probably not. However, if you are doing a joint promise on monogamy or want to show the man your complete friendship for life, then a simple promise ring or matching promise rings are just fine.

Remember that a promise ring can signify anything so it's important to give a reason by your giving of a promise ring. If you don't, it's liable someone's feelings can be or will be hurt.
Different Types Of Rings

The UK jewellery market is huge.  With a wealth of different companies operating in a very competitive marketplace, jewellery products can be found almost anywhere.  They are highly sought after products and customers come from far and wide to purchase them.  Of course, there are many different jewellery items customers can buy, but what is important is that the customer finds something they like and they also experience a pleasant shop that will enable them to come back.

The jewellery market is made up of many different items.  Some of the popular ones include necklaces, bracelets, pendants and earrings.  However, there is one item that is purchased more than anything else ? rings.  Rings are purchased in the UK on an extremely large scale and take up the majority of the jewellery market.  There are many different types of rings in the UK that people can buy and here is a list of some of the features people would look for when purchasing them.

Firstly, rings are made of different materials.  The most common ones are silver and gold, whilst platinum rings are becoming more and more popular in recent years.  White gold rings are also sometimes purchased whilst tungsten, stainless steel, palladium and two-colour gold can also be found at selected retailers up and down the country.

Second, different rings have different stone types.  Again the most common ones are cubic zirconia and diamond rings, whilst sapphire, pearl, ruby, topaz, tanzanite, opal, garnet, swarovski crystal, aquamarine, crystal, onyx, amethyst, citrine, emerald, peridot and quartz can also be purchased.  Obviously, some are better than others but again it always comes down to what each individual customer wants and what they like best.

Third, there are further different types of rings in the UK.  Different stone shapes can be found at a variety of retailers.  Some of the most common ones include brilliant, round and heart, whilst oval, emerald, marquise, princess, baguette and square can also be found.  Again, different styles appeal to different consumers.  Some consumers like big square rings to go with their own style whilst other, perhaps more sophisticated ladies will only ever wear princess cut rings.

There are many other factors too which affect the look and style of rings.  Colour is one of these as one colour can make a ring look completely different from the next.  Carat weight can also make a big impact on the style, particularly in terms of its sparkle and gleam.

Rings can also be bought for different occasions, and some of the most special ones are made specifically as engagement rings and wedding rings.  These can be however, at the top end of the market and are only ever purchased for the occasion.

So as you have read, there are many different types of rings in the UK and all of them are suitable for someone somewhere.  It is always the individual's decision which one to buy but a decision will be made with all the necessary information to hand and based on which one they like best.
