In life, communication and networking is an important component. We go through experiences in life where through networking and communicating with people, we learn to develop and grow as a person. Be it at our workplace, in sports activities and handling family and social issues, we need to network and communicate well to build strong relationships bond with peers, partners and loved ones.



Some of us have wonderful opportunities to network with

others that ranges from a larger audience and people from other parts of the world. Communication and networking is a learning experience itself. Each networking experience is a great learning tool to develop as an effective communicator.

Let us take a look at the following about Pete networking and communicating effectively with people. Pete, a young start up business owner, is attending and important business networking session. There were many participants that range from business owners, entrepreneurs and other well recognized individuals. When he reached there, he felt a little intimidated by the others presence and status.

However, he decided to overcome his fear and told himself to take the networking experience as a great learning opportunity for him to develop his communication skills. He realized that through stepping out of his comfort zone to reach out to others, it will enable him to expand his business networks and team.

Through his business experiences, he had great learning experience in networking and communicating effectively. He realized in such situations, he needs to be confident about himself. He had trembled before when he met with intimidating figures. But he had learn that one is special in its own way and must be confident about of his capabilities.

He also realized that he needs to build a relationship when networking with others. In building relationship, he needs to be an effective communicator as well as a great listener. He also learn to share his charisma through his generous smile when networking and communicating with people. Pete ensures that they received his close attention through maintaining close eye contact and allowing others time to finish their sentences and deliver their messages clearly.

Once Pete was clear of how to communicate and network effectively, he then took a step forward, initiate conversation and build relationships with fellow participants during the event there. He still faced mistakes when communicating and networking but at the end of the session, he was able to have great fun learning experience as he continues to build his network and communication skills.

From the story, we can learn that in networking and communicating effectively, it is important that we need to build self belief, relationship, share our charisma, maintain our close attention and be ready to make and learn from mistakes.
