Do You Know Where Your Going

    View:
The idea of Feng Shui is appealing to most people. It seems like a simple way to create harmony in your life as well as introduce changes that you want to happen. However, most people aren't quite sure how to use it, why it works, and the overall meaning of the word itself. In terms of answering all of these questions, the use of a Feng Shui Ba-Gua map is the best place to start.

The Feng Shui Ba-Gua map is simply a device used to determine where energy changes might need to be made. Shaped as an octagon, it is broken up into nine different areas, each typically associated with a certain life aspect that will be affected by subsequent changes. There is also a yin and yang symbol that is placed in the central section of this shape, and a part of this ninth section. When using the Ba-Gua map in your home, you can stretch the shape to fit a square as well, simply creating sides coinciding with the areas that would have been in the octagon.

The nine different areas of a Feng Shui Ba-Gua map might differ in names and phrasing, but they typically include: career, helpful people and travel, wisdom, creativity and children, health, family relationships, love and relationships, wealth, and fame. Each of these sections correlates with a section of the home or of a room in order to show where changes and adjustments might need to made. Because each of these areas is a part of your life, it's a good idea to think about making changes in each.

The purpose of the Feng Shui Ba-Gua map is to help guide positive energy into certain areas of your home or office. There is also a way to utilize specific colors to correlate with these nine sections in order to promote that balanced and positive harmony that you wish to create. When you take into consideration all of the areas of this kind of map, you will create a life that is happy, successful, and prosperous. Take the map and try to line it up to each room of your house as well as the overall structure of your home to start making changes now.

Breaking down the Feng Shui Ba-Gua map into specific sections, you will learn how to specifically affect these areas of your life by utilizing elements and colors that are associated with each area. Starting with the fame section, you will want to place the Ba-Gua map in the area you are going to decorate, find the fame section, and then work to change things in this section. Primarily, you will want to focus on using the color red in this area as well as the elements of fire and wood. So, you might want to place some sort of red, wooden decoration in this space of your home.

Moving to the love and relationships section of a Feng Shui Ba-Gua map, you will want to keep in mind that this is related to the color pink and to the elements of fire and earth. Typical ways of representing this energy include using pink candles in the d'cor. In family relationships, you will want to know that green, blue, and black are all positive colors to use. And as water is the element associated with this section, a picture of a water scene might work well to add energy.

Health concerns or just maintenance are related to yellow, brown, and orange on a Feng Shui Ba-Gua map. The elements of earth and fire are also focal points that you can incorporate into this area. Creativity and children relate to the color yellow as well as earth tones, plus the element of metal. In these areas, you will want to consider metallic wall hangings for the design.

In terms of the area related to wisdom on a Feng Shui Ba-Gua map, you will want to use green and black in your d'cor adjustments as well as the element earth. A nice potted plant is a great way to incorporate both into these related colors and elements. It also symbolizes growth, which is a good thing when it comes to learning and education. For travel and helpful people, the Feng Shui Ba-Gua map shows that the white and black are helpful colors, while the metal element can create positive energy. Perhaps a statue in metal with a black finish can be a good way to create energy.

Keeping in mind balance at all times, the Feng Shui Ba-Gua map can be a great way to determine what areas in your home need improvement and what others are already doing good for your life. While you don't have to make changes in every single section right away, it's good practice to slowly incorporate these tips in order to achieve a peaceful energy flow.
Do You Know Where Your Going
Organic care of it gives it an added advantage since it is not attempting to fight off various man made pollutants from the various non organic cleansers, moisturizers, etc. As you age, your skin s health becomes even more important, making many wish that they had taken better care of it while they were younger. Your skin is a life long organ which does a number of things for you, making it ever important, no matter your age.

An extremely important aspect of your skins overall health is its moisture level. Dehydrated skin tends to chap, dry, and crack, giving openings for various bacteria and viruses to enter the body. Using good moisturizers is one of the major tricks in improving and maintaining the skin s overall condition.

Moisturizers are a combination of water (for hydration) and fats/oils to lock in the water. Through this, skin appears more supple, which helps maintain a more youthful appearance. Many prefer lighter moisturizers during the day and heavier ones at night.

The lighters ones absorb into the skin more readily because they are mainly water, but they also disappear quickly. Heavier moisturizers contain less water and are often applied to damp skin immediately after bathing. These have a longer staying power due to having more fats/oils in them. A combination of both ingredients is necessary for skin health.

Get your favorite moisturizer and you will find a list of ingredients like: Cetyl Alcohol, Caprylic Triglyceride, Dimethicone, and Cyclopentasiloxane among a million other words you cannot pronounce, much less begin to know what they are or where they were derived from. Did you ever wonder exactly what you were putting on your face?

If you turn another direction and think organic skin care, especially homemade organic products, you will usually know exactly what you are putting on your face. The best way to know what is going on your face is to make your moisturizer at home, using organic products. Keep in mine that you need to buy organically grown ingredients when making these.

Non organic products tend to have traces of chemical pesticides and fertilizers in them, which will still leave you wondering what you are using. These moisturizers should only be made up for one week and stored in the refrigerator because the lack of preservatives.

Organic Moisturizer #1: This organic moisturizer is great for very dry skin and, provided there is no adverse reaction (a small area should be tested), it can be a heavenly organic skin treatment for eczema and psoriasis patients. Most of these ingredients can be purchased online if you cannot find them in your local health food store, but the royal jelly needs to be purchased as a refrigerated product, so local purchase is recommended. You will need a large, microwave safe bowl, and a quart sized canning jar with a lid (some people know these as Mason Jars), and an electric mixer.

For tired feet, try this foot soak. You can do it in a foot bath/massager, a tub, a sink, etc. The where and how does not matter, it will invigorate you tootsies! Add 1/4 cup Epsom Salt and 4 drops organic rosemary (or peppermint) essential oil to 3 gallons warm water and soak your feet for 15 to 20 minutes. Apply organic moisturizer afterwards. Adding organic milk to this will help soften your skin because milk has a natural alpha hydroxy acid in it.

Every one has problem areas on their feet from time to time. These quick solutions will help you combat your dry skin problem areas.

3 ounces beeswax

1 1/2 cups blended oils (this can be any combination of essential oils that you prefer in any ratio; a nice combination is 1/ 2 cup each of apricot kernel oil, grape seed oil and jojoba.

1 cup coconut oil or cocoa butter (if you used jojoba above, you will probably prefer coconut oil here)

2 teaspoons grapefruit seed extract (necessary for preservation)

3 teaspoons royal jelly (purchase active, refrigerated jelly from health food stores)

24 ounces distilled water at room temperature (ONLY use distilled for bacterial reasons)

In your large, microwave safe bowl, combine the oils and beeswax and microwave on high in small increments (2 minutes each, for example) until wax is completely melted. Remove from microwave and add the water. Mix on high until creamy. Stir in both the royal jelly and the grapefruit seed extract, making sure that they are thoroughly blended (about 50 strokes).

Put mixture into the canning jar and keep refrigerated for up to six months. This also makes a great gift for friends and loved ones with just a little decoration and a personalized tag added to the jar.

Organic Moisturizer #2: Mix the following ingredients and apply immediately after showering (or bathing), then let dry, do not rub off.

1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

1/ 2 cup honey

1 cup cold water
