Have you met someone that you really like and want to get to know better but they don't seem to have any interest in you? Worse yet, have you met someone that you have expressed interest in and they have not responded in kind? There is nothing worse than wanting someone who does not want you. In fact, this is depressing to a lot of people to the point where they do not feel attractive.
If you want someone who does not want you, don't let it eat away at you. Instead, you should be asking yourself why you would give the power to someone who does not want you back. Sure, it is painful and stings a bit when we are rejected, but just because one person doesn't want you doesn't mean that no one does. We are all attracted to different things and different people and just because you didn't have the connection that you had hoped for with one person doesn't mean that you will never have such a connection.
Wanting someone who does not want you is something that happens to the best of us, but when it becomes clear that you are not as desirable to someone as they are to you, do your best to move on. Many of us stick around and try to make the other person see why they should want us. This is not only unlikely to work, it makes you look needy and even more unattractive. If you accept the rejection gracefully you are able to walk away with your head held high and this may allow for the two of you to come together at some point in the future when the timing is right.
You cannot force a relationship to work. Someone either wants to be with you or doesn't and there isn't much middle ground. Instead of focusing on the person who has made it clear that they do not return your affection, focus on the positives of being single or being without that person. When you make the most out of the situation you will come across as a more attractive person, and who knows, this could change the other person's mind in the future.
In short, wanting someone who does not want you is a waste of your time. You need to spend your time and energy on the people and things in your life that do appreciate you or benefit from your attention. If someone makes it clear that they don't return the affection, let it go, when you do this it will be easier to move forward and meet someone that wants you as much as you want them.
Doesnt Want A Relationship
The grueling season 2 of Heroes recently saw its conclusion, and it featured Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimiglia) saving the day by destroying a deadly virus. However, his brother Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) was assassinated during a press conference. There is an air of uncertainty, though, as both Ventimiglia and the fans are unsure what will become of Nathan, as the last episode featured him sprawled on the floor and on the brink of death.
"I really hope he's not going anywhere," the 30-year-old actor who plays the superpowered Peter said in a conversation with the Associated Press. "That would be really disappointing to me to lose a brother and an amazing scene partner. I'm sure it's all going to work out the way it's supposed to."
Moreover, Ventimiglia recognizes the fact that it isn't just Nathan that fans of the show should be worried about, as the whole show still lies in the hands of the writers, who are still on strike. Due to this, the cast and crew have not seen any new scripts yet, and must wait until the WGA strike is over to see any new developments for the show.
""We ran out of stuff to shoot," he explained. "That's basically what it boils down to."
While Heroes is on hold, Ventimiglia sought out other projects to keep him busy. He is currently working as both producer and star in the first episode of a series of holiday-themed stop-animation short movies for American Eagle Outfitters. Other notable celebrities in the short films include Lil Jon, Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz, and Kristen Bell, who is coincidentally one of the newbies in Heroes.
Ventimiglia's animated counterpart will be sporting the longer hair he had during Heroes' season 1, as he now is sporting a much shorter 'do.
"I thought we should go with the bangs because they're more recognizable," he revealed to the Associated Press.
Ventimiglia will also be working on two upcoming movies Game and The Chaos Theory, aside from the short films.
"I try and take a break and take a vacation," he said. "But I keep getting wrapped up in jobs."
