Most of us are barely conscious that our skin is the largest organ of the human body extending from the hair on our head to the last small toe on the leg. And it has several functions:like protecting the other internal organs from external attack,regulating the body temperature, and excreting certain wastes from the body in the form of sweat.But almost everyone without an exception wants their skin to look young and healthy and glowing.Who would not like to have a skin like Cindy Crawford,Candice Bergen or Aishwarya Rai? 1. Drink plenty of water, at least 6 to 8 glasses per day is essential. It is alkaline with a high pH and prevents dehydration in the body leading to a dull damaged skin

2. What you eat should play a vital role in your healthy skin. Avoid eating highly acidic and fried foods that can cause gastric allergy which will have a direct bearing on your skin. Eat plenty of fruits and fresh leafy vegetables and other dietary fiber to maintain a healthy bowel movement.

3. Use skin peeling scrub products to remove the dead skin cells from your skin. But avoid using body skin peelers on the face as they are more likely to do harm than good. Psoriasis is a usual skin disease that comes as lesions with white scales on the skin and also leads to weakening of skins and joints. It is a chronic disease that is characterized by red, silvery, thick and scaled patches on the skin. It is a poorly understood condition that affects the skin and also at times the nails whose symptoms include red inflamed skins covered by white scales, which flakes easily.

Psoriasis can appear all over the body and can be really itchy and irritating. It mostly happens on the arms [specially elbows], legs [knees], buttocks and trunk and rarely affects the face and scalp. The lesions vary in size from being minute papules to sheets covering larger parts of the body. The lesions are always dry and rarely become infected.
