At times when our life is surrounded by the clouds of despair, it is just a word of encouragement that can show us the silver lining of hope. Somebody has rightly said, a good deed done in life brings us closer to heaven. So how many times has the thought of encouraging somebody flashed your mind? Let my words not sound as a mere joke to your ears.
Hey, before you turn your eyes from this article thinking that I am preaching a philosophy, just turn back and if you feel someones presence by your side, then you might understand all that I am about to say, and if you don't feel the presence then the understanding will come to you even faster. Believe me I am feeling the same and so am just penning it down.
Many are very fortunate to hear words of encouragement from the very prime of their life and some keep craving for it...to genuinely encourage some one, we need to feel the pain that they are going through. If not, our words of encouragement sound like mere words that have been said just for the sake of it.
Life is that unsolved mystery which spares no one. Every body has their fair share of ups and downs but its a good alley who comes to your aid in times of desperate need. People often feel as to what can a mere word of encouragement do, to bring back things to normal but little do they realize that, a word of encouragement is enough to kick start a day and end it up in the most beautiful way. To encourage somebody does not really call for hard labor...its much more simpler than discouraging someone. In the long walk of life when we are packed with our busy schedules...trying our best to meet our targets, and suddenly something goes wrong...alas it has terribly broken down our mental and physical strengths...We feel that we are looking into nothingness and we desperately wait to hear from somebody who would raise our fallen spirits...So if such is your expectation then why neglect someone of your words of encouragement, who desperately needs it.
Think of a friend who has gone through a bad relationship and feels suicidal at times and as if he/she is in a state of limbo, walk up to him to assure that you are always there for him and that, life has many good things in store for him.
What about your kid who has got low marks and do not wish to study any more because he had promised to get an A grade but got through with just a C. Walk up to him and buzz into his ears that you are really happy with whatever he has got and you are sure that he would come up with even better marks the next time. Your word of encouragement is sure to show him a bright future even when he fails.
And there, your old grandmother is on the verge of collapsing at the death of your grandfather. She goes through a phase where she feels mentally and physically fatigue and its then that you come to her aid trying your best to pull her out from that situation, trying to tell her that, her husband has gone to that paradise to wish Merry Christmas to God, that is on its way.
Its easy to accept the light of a candle to dispel darkness but difficult to burn as one to make others happy. How much does it cost to make someone feel at home with your priceless words of encouragement? You can be rest assured of the zero penny that you are going to spend. Just go ahead and make some one feel special and get your self registered among the list of people going to heaven. In fact on more serious note, if today you become the smile of a gloomy face,be assured that tomorrow you will have a dozen ready to become yours; We all know that ?no man can live as an island? so encourage others to be encouraged when their days are cloudy.
