Back problems and back pain are possibly the most frustrating physical hardship to endure. Not only are back problems difficult to diagnose, they seem to interfere with the most routine of our daily tasks. Walking, bending over, and even sitting for lengthy periods of time can be challenging and painful. Have you ever aggravated your back pain with a simple sneeze?



Perhaps the worst aspect of chronic back pain is when it interferes with our sleep. Tossing, turning, and waking up from chronic back pain is extremely frustrating, but the good news is there are some simple solutions.

Even though you may get 8 full hours of sleep, if you have chronic back problems, chances are you still awake non-refreshed. This may very well be caused by your sleeping posture and alignment. Proper posture and alignment are just as important when we're asleep as awake. Your back problems may even be caused by your sleeping posture.

How To Avoid Back Problems While You Sleep

If you're being kept awake by back problems, chances are good you can reduce or eliminate back pain by ensuring proper sleep alignment. Proper sleep alignment means positioning your body in the most efficient manner to take pressure off your back. It doesn't matter if you sleep on your side, back, or stomach -- proper alignment can easily be achieved. The key factor is removing any and all pressure on your back, and properly aligning your neck. Fortunately, there are some easy solutions to help you align your body properly while asleep, thereby preventing back pain from ruining your good night's sleep.
