I've been doing this for almost a decade and I realized one important thing; everything we know is wrong. I think the best thing you can do with your diet is cut out all the processed foods and just get back to eating real things with no chemicals or other preservatives.
As for your workout, I see people making a lot of mistakes and doing things wrong. There is one reason muscles grow and grow fast; INTENSITY. If you're intense, you put a lot of stress on your body, which requires muscles to adapt and grow. This doesn't mean you have to have long workout either. I have a short 7 minute intense workout.

You've probably heard some of them before and dismissed them. Well, that's all right. When advice sounds too simple, people tend to assume it's not all that great.
Well, you're wrong. Some of the best muscle building tips are the simplest things that you can do to change your workout and reap piles of benefits from.
Now on to the muscle building tips. The first thing I must stress is that you need to adopt an exercise program that doesn't just focus on one set of muscles. You need to follow an exercise program that incorporates ALL your muscle groups.
If you only focus on strengthening and building up your arms, you'll wind up looking as disproportionate as Popeye. So make certain that you are giving all the muscles in your body a good workout so that your entire body is in good symmetrical shape.
Here's another simple but important muscle building tip: Make sure you're not doing the exercises wrong! It's not going to do your body any good if you use the wrong technique for any exercise.
If you're now wondering whether you're doing an exercise technique right, you're probably not. Go to a local gym and get some help from a trainer or a muscle builder, who can help you out a lot by showing you how to do exercises and correct you if you're not doing it quite right.
The third of the muscle building tips, and one of the most common, is to modify your diet. If you want to gain muscle, then by all means, change your diet.
To gain muscle, you must provide your body with the appropriate amount of energy. The normal calculation is one gram of protein per day per pound of bodyweight.
If you find it too hard to make yourself eat more protein throughout the day, you might want to look into supplements. Make sure the supplements you choose are what is right for you and not just what sounds or looks good when you're shopping.
