If it were not so tragic, it would be funny. That as children we, the Human Race have been in such a hurry, so impatient to advance that we never stopped to see where we were going. Has it been a case of the blind leading the blind, crass stupidity, or simply a combination of arrogance and ignorance? Whatever the reason, we have arrived, short of breath, a little stunned maybe, or even surprised, but here we are and its WAKE UP time.



How on earth did we get here? What went wrong? It is as though during the process of evolution we lost something, forgot something very important, or maybe we just turned our backs upon it.

Whichever it was, taking one step back and looking at the evolution of mankind, it is a strange and un nerving experience. Whichever way you look at it, there can be no denying that of all life forms with whom we share our world, we have developed and evolved in a very unique and bizarre way.

We have travelled so far, we have technologically advanced so much and yet have we become any more enlightened? Have we really become a wiser, more compationate and just race of individuals. Show me the difference in attitude between the school bully and the world leader, agree with me or I,ll kill you! It is as though we have evolved, as a race very little from those guys guarding their caves milleniums ago.

Examples are to be found all around us, all it takes is a break from the grindstone and pressures of life. To just stop for one moment and try to take a look from a different perspective, to try and see through fresh and disspationate eyes. Ok a few examples....... Ok here are a few for starters.

The most dangerous man on this planet right now is arguably the current president of the USA, why? He has the power and the material capability to impliment his convictions and impose his opinions upon others and his point of view is scarey in its simplicity. I am right and you are wrong, my beliefs are the right ones and so yours must be wrong and so we must watch as.....Is making war on terror, "in order to make the world a safer place". Sorry, run that past me again!

The greatest International soft drinks company produce a product that rots teeth and God knows what else........and they target kids in their advertising campaign.

The greatest International fast food enterprise produce food that has now been proven to be at best junk and at worst seriously harmful to health...and yes they again target children.

I am not anti American, they just happen to be way out there at the fore front in our current evolutionary direction.

Can we learn anything from the above,do we even have time to consider the implications, are we even interested in what all of this could mean? To me it indicates that we as a species have become hopelessly lost, that our sense of basic human values has been lost and that we have, as a species morally lost our way.

Since the beginning we have regarded ourselves as superior and apart from our world and all we share it with. Since the beginning we have assumed all to be for our utilisation and at our disposal. We have pressumed that all that exists on our planet has been soley for our benefit.Clearly this has been At the very least presumptious and at worst dangerously arrogant. Let's see how dumb they are.

Dogs and cats the animals that we are arguably closest too. `Blow cigarette smoke in the direction of a cat, or dog, runs away right? We the smart ones not only breath it in, we like it!

Again dogs and cats. There are countless tales of these animals getting lost, or left behind, from a house move and finding their way, sometimes 1,000,s of miles to their owners. How do they do that, what was guiding them?

Birds, we all know they migrate, again sometimes 1,000,s of miles, we do not even consider the implications "it's in their genes" we are told. What is in their genes, what is guiding them?

Fish, put Koi Carp in a small pond and they will not grow very much and probably not mate either. transfer those same fish to a bigger pond and they will both grow and mate. Why are we so dissinterested in these phenomenon, how is it we have become blinded to the countless wonders that surround us. Should we not take some inspiration from trying to understand what is guiding them?

Really the list is endless, we are in fact surrounded by a world of wonders and inspiration, but can we see, can we learn, or at least be in awe of these incredible and wonderful capabilities. Now could it just be that at some point within our evolutionary process we have lost something very important? That we have become disconnected to the very thread of existence and in losing that connection, we have in actual fact completely lost our way?

Maybe there is something, some spark within us that lies dormant, some faint inborn connection to something that we no longer undertand? Star Wars was a monster hit across the world and the "force" that central theme of these movies, was portayed as an achievable connection to an inner guiding strength, a power within. Could it be. The Indian Fakirs able to overcome bodily limitations, even to the point of slowing their very heartbeat to a point close to, medically definable death. The magicians of folk lore, the sages and saints, so many indications that there is another level of being human, a level that we no longer know of.

Clearly there is something very strange about a species that devotes so much energy in devising bigger and better methods to cause the death of his fellow humans. A species that for personal financial gain will produce food, or drink that is actually harmful to his fellow humans. One of the greatest indications of how far down the wrong road we have travelled is how we expend our energy. How much collective effort do we put into producing, or manufacturing products that are not only unneccessary, but sometimes harmful to human health and why? Solely for financial gain. Can this be the actions, the right direction for an enlightened species? Yet this is how we have become, we have lost all sense of brothethood, of community and of being part of a greater whole. How can we as a spiecies respect the planet, or any of the life forms with whom we share it with, if we do not even respect each other. This is where we have arrived, this is our condition, so how do we break free of this ignorance.

If this was not insane enough these same products are very often aimed at the children. Is it not our moral duty to protect our children? Of course we are destroying the planet, why not? We have been working hard at destroying each other it seems; No it seems in many ways we have not advanced, evolved, or developed in terms of awareness very much at all. It has been said that what we regard as civilisation is 3 days food away from collapse, from anarcy. What does that say about our individual evolvement.
