Hot Tub For Two

    View:
The original Hot Tubs made hundreds of years ago were circular and made out of wood like very large beer barrels and today some modern acrylic Hot Tubs are produced in that shape also. These round Hot Tubs provide a great deep Tub with plenty of Jets and a great Hydro massage effect.

However one can also get this from a modern cedar Hot Tub one that is made from real natural Canadian Cedar. Circular Hot tubs either made of Acrylic or Cedar are great for friends and the family to get together and have a chat.

The combination of warm water with, massage Jets and buoyancy helps to provide a pleasant sensation that not only is able to bring some relief to muscles & joints but is also able to relax the mind, body and spirit.

Modern Hot Tubs have an increasing number of more powerful jets strategically placed for maximum benefit; these Jets offer supreme therapeutic support in a carefree setting. This helps to raise blood flow and aid circulation, reducing muscle strain and soreness, and helping to relieve pressure and tension throughout your body. Calculated buoyancy (and a corresponding feeling of weightlessness) blends perfectly with swirling water to deliver a relaxing warm soak with added healing properties. In fact, you will feel noticeably better in just 20 minutes.

Hydrotherapy & Hydro massage does help in many ways to improve ones health. Not only do the warm, bubbling waters help melt away tension and strain, but they also provide a gentle and effective massage - targeting your joints and muscles, promoting a better night's sleep and combating the pain of arthritis and other muscle-related injuries.

Safe, enjoyable and very effective for the whole family, hydrotherapy and the health benefits of a Hot Tub will help everyone enjoy a much more active lifestyle. Modern Hot Tubs originate back in time just over half a century ago (1954) when the Jacuzzi brothers invented a portable whirlpool pump (simply as I understand it because one of their relatives had arthritis) and from there on in the Hot Tub Industry has not looked back.

From about that time the trend has been for plastic Hot Tubs either made in glass fibre and more recently in Acrylic which is molded by thermo-forming into the shapes that we see today. Both these materials allow for a high degree of molding and shape and they good for ease of maintenance. They also do provide an outstanding hydro-therapy coupled with a pleasant hydro massage. However, these materials are not from nature as Timber is and of course being man made they lack any kind of scent or smell. The man made materials just do not produce any form of natural aroma.

For hundreds of centuries before the advent of modern technology and plastics, wood was the material used in making hot tubs. There really was not any other alternative choice of material available. However, certain types of wood, similar to wooden boat construction automatically lent themselves to the overall hot tub experience. The woods that spring to mind are Oak and Cedar. Both these woods expand when wet which forms a better waterproof seal for the tub.
Hot Tub For Two
At the same time helping to relax and refresh your mind, body and soul and provide you with the relaxation and break that you deserve from your Hot Tub.

The physical properties of water means that it a very useful medium in which to exercise and at the same time treat muscle, neck and back pain. The natural advantages that water provides to help with Hydro massage and Hydrotherapy is of course related to the Buoyancy and Viscosity effect of water.

Buoyancy and Semi Buoyancy - The flotation effect of water helps to a considerable degree to counter balance gravity and this of course helps to support our own body weight and this can be controlled by using different massage seats in the Hot Tub.

This semi buoyancy is a support to the development of improved balance and strength and some simple exercises such as flexing and stretching can be carried out in a warm pleasant environment.

Watsu is a water based treatment that combines water with Shiatsu, which is a long established Japanese Massage technique where pressure massage is applied to the body energy points following the lines of chi, or quite simply the body's own energy channels.

Watsu was developed in 1980 by Harold Dull, who had travelled and spent time in Japan to study Zen Shiatsu, which is a system of body of massage that uses stretches and pressure points in the body to help release energy blockages. When in the United States of America Harold Dull promoted the idea of the benefits of performing Shiatsu and related stretches in warm water.

Watsu, just like reflexology, can help enhance feelings of well-being and relaxation.

A heated Hot Tub is good for a Watsu massage session. Floating in warm water with Buoyancy and semi Buoyancy supported by the Watsu practitioner, the person receiving the treatment slips gently in to a pleasant state of relaxation as gentle massage and stretching is applied to specific energy points in the body.

These are two of the reasons among others why water is so beneficial for massage treatment:-

1.Viscosity - Water naturally provides a gentle resistance by means of gentle friction and this combined with a mixture of pressure provided by warmed Water and Air Jets allows one to strengthen and improve the condition of aches and pains while reducing the risk of further injury due to loss of balance.

2.Hydrostatic pressure - there are powerful effects produced by hydrostatic pressure that improve heart and lung function, making some gentle exercise a very useful way to maintain and strengthen heart and lung function. This pressure effect also aids in improving muscle blood flow.

These properties when combined allow for the beneficial treatment of aches & pains but due to the buoyancy and semi-buoyancy effect which allows you to reduce the weight placed on the body while stretching in the Hot Tub.

Individuals with perhaps stiffness in the neck and shoulder could practice simply arm circles or try rolling their shoulders gently in the water to help improve their range of motion and strength.

The water provides both gentle resistance and pleasant support through buoyancy, the person would probably not experience the pain caused when a tired arm drops suddenly, as it can do at the end of other exercises.

The concept of pain is usually much reduced a result of various factors including the relaxing sounds as well as the warmth of the water provided by the Hot Tub often making this a very pleasant experience.

The buoyancy and semi bouyancy effect of the water naturally allows a much wider range of positions in the Hot Tub due to the much reduced gravity effect of the water.
