House star Jennifer Morrison plays Dr. Allison Cameron in the highly watched series, a woman who is attracted to the Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital's head diagnostician, Dr. Gregory House himself. In reality, however, she admits she has fallen in love with a co-star, with whom she is already engaged.
Last Holiday season, the 28 year old actress was officially engaged to Jesse Spencer, who plays Dr. Robert Chase in the series. The couple flew to Paris, France and during a visit to the Eiffel Tower, Spencer spoke the magical words in French and asked her to marry him.
"Veux-tu m'?pouser?" asked the 28 year old actor as he presented the box containing the ring.
Morrison's reaction was something Spencer did not totally expect.
"I was like, 'Uh, what are you doing?" said Jennifer Morrison, in account of what had occurred. "He said, 'I'm asking you to marry me in French!' I was just staring at him. I don't speak French. And he said, 'Well, are you going to answer?' And I replied, 'Oh, yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!'"
In actuality, this wedding proposal has been planned for by Spencer for six months already. The actor had a difficult time surprising her because she was "just so frickin? smart."
Spencer's first attempt at the proposal was during their trip to Costa Rica, which didn't push through because Morrison fell ill. His second attempt was during their camping in Big Sur, but the pair were "freezing the whole time," thus defying the romantic ambience.
The third time worked almost perfectly for Spencer except for the French language that he used, however, the pair are very much happy. The wedding is set to be anytime this year, but the exact date is not to be publicized. All we know is that the event will have a total of 200 guests and will be held at a private Los Angeles estate. Morrison will also have an empire-waist dark ivory Elie Saab piece for her wedding gown.
House Of The Stars
Fans of the MTV reality television series Run's House, revolving around the family life of self-styled reverend and musician Joseph "Reverend Run" Simmons, were treated to some choice literary treats from their favorite rap artist over the weekend. Last September 28, the 12th Annual Baltimore Book Festival was held at Mount Vernon Place, located at the 600 block of North Charles Street. Scheduled at five to nine in the evening, over 150 authors were featured at the event, which ran over the course of three days. Also included among these literary presences were Reverend Run and Justine Simmons, who is both his loving wife and co-star on the reality show.
Reverend Run is famous for being a co-founder and longtime member of the hip-hop group DMC, and he spoke about the inspirational book he authored, titled Words of Wisdom: Daily Affirmations of Faith. On the other hand, his spouse spoke up about her own collection of writings, God, Can You Hear Me? The two pillars of the hip-hop community were present during the Saturday of September 29th at three in the afternoon. Most of the open discussions, book readings and autograph signings were held at the Walters Art Museum.
Apart from the Simmons couple, numerous other writers also graced the festival with their presence. One familiar face to TV aficionados was Tim Gunn, the judge of the Bravo network's reality television competition series Project Runway. Gunn is likewise featured in his very own reality series based on the book he wrote, Tim Gunn: A Guide to Quality, Taste and Style. As for the other authors, among them were Nikki Giovanni, Jacqueline Wilson, and David Matthews. Both Reverend Run's Words of Wisdom and Justine Simmons' Can You Hear Me? are published by Harper Collins, and are inspirational tomes aimed at helping people establish a stronger connection with God.
