What to look for in a budget priced watch:

Durability and Craftsmanship

Durability is something that will make every purchase worth the money. No one intentionally invests in something that they know will not last for a good deal of time. Brand Name

When looking for a quality watch on a budget its probably best to stick with a well known brand name, such as Timex or Citizen (just to name a couple). Most well known watchmakers will want to make sure they keep their reputation of producing quality products.

What not to look for in a budget priced watch:

Rock bottom prices

Stay away from watches that are very cheaply priced if you want something that will last for any length of time. While advertisements may guarantee the lowest price, that is probably the only guarantee you will have.

Designer Labels

Gucci, Yves St Laurent are not generally known for producing budget watches, So this would not be the first category you would want to explore if you are looking for a budget priced watch. However, some designers have been known to introduce a line of watches with a lower price tag just to attract a different type of customer.

Jewelry watches

Watches that have been crafted with precious stones are definitely not considered to be budget priced watches. So, if you are not looking to spend a lot of money this is not the category you want to spend your time looking into unless you just want to browse them for fun.

Whatever your budget is, taking time to learn something about the product brand before purchasing is always a good idea. It can save you frustration and disappointment in the long run.
