How To Grow Long Healthy Hair

Eat the Right Food



When we say right food, we are talking about those healthy foods like organic fruits and vegetables. I'm not saying that you would have to be a vegetarian just to live longer. What I'm saying here is don't eat too much of those unhealthy junk foods. The key here is to eat in moderation. You may not know that there are known five absolute worst foods you can eat. Those foods that is high in Trans fats and lots of toxins. The five worst foods are doughnuts, soda, fried non-fish sea foods, French fries, and chips. Doughnuts actually contain trans fats, almost all of the varieties, and can actually give you 200 to 300 calories, mostly from sugar. Soda is loaded with artificial colors and sulphites which can harm your body; one can of soda has about 10 teaspoons of sugar which contain about 150 calories. Diet varieties are loaded with aspartame, a known artificial sweetener that can cause cancer. Fried non-fish seafood like shrimps and clams are loaded with toxic mercury and trans fats. French fries is well known to be loaded with trans fats. Chips are also high in trans fats.

Exercise Regularly

Regular exercise can help you lose weight, improve your resistance to fight infections, lower your risk of having cancer other diseases, it can also help your brain work better and can make you smarter. When you exercise, it helps your body to work and helps in improving your blood circulation. If you are overweight, don't push too hard with the exercise, you can start by walking. And then increase the intensity of your exercise routine so you'll get used to it. The trick here is being consistent with your exercise. Discipline yourself and don't be too lazy, once you've discipline yourself, it'll become a routine and you'll be happy because you have done what you have to do. You will feel proud of yourself because you can see that you are improving with your life.

Drink a Lot of Water

Human body is mostly water; this fact is one of those reasons why ongoing intake of water is essential for the body to function. It's been said many times that one person should drink at least eight-ounce glasses of water per day but did you know that you need more water than that? According to Dr. Joseph Mercola, the rule of thumb is, for every 50 pounds of body weight you carry, drink one quart of bottle spring or filtered water per day.

Social Ties and Having Good Friends on your Side

Staying healthy and living longer is not simply a matter of eating fruits, vegetables, exercising, drinking lots of water, or getting good medical care. Good friends can also help you live longer and have a healthy lifestyle.

Harvard researchers investigated the effect of social ties, death and heart disease, in a 10-year follow-up study of nearly 30,000 male health professionals. Roughly half of the men reported belonging to large social networks that included a spouse, a large number of friends or relatives, and/or community group involvement.

Men who were more socially isolated, however, were nearly 20% more likely to die from any cause than their more socially integrated peers, the investigators found. Socially isolated men were also 53% more likely to die from a heart-related cause than those who reported the highest number of social ties. Further, those with a moderately low number of social connections had a more than twofold greater risk of death from accidents and suicides than did their peers with the most social ties.

Social isolation is a 'risk factor' for ill health that deserves as much attention as other risk factors for cardiovascular disease and other ailments.

physical? Absolutely not! Your well being is also made up by your mental state. Think about this, the kind of music you listen to generally affects your mood. Here is a perfect example: I listened to Hard Rock as a teen

(most teenagers do) and was very crazy, a trouble maker, energetic, and fun! Now that I have matured in age, I listen to softer music and I am more relaxed, laid back, careless, and less energetic.

Now focus on music and creating your mood. Again, going back to the heavy rock, how does that make you feel when you hear it? I can tell you from experience that heavy music gets my blood rushing, my foot pounding, my head pulsing. It kicks me into overdrive! Now, how do you feel when you listen to light music? Let me take you to the opposite extreme and use classical music as an example. While listening to a song composed by eethoven, how do you feel? I am generally feeling very classy, smart, makes me feel like learning, reading a novel, become a better person. It is a totally different mood it puts me in. How does it make you feel?

So how does this make you live healthier? The correct kind of music can help your mood and attitude get better, creating a positive and happy outlook on life. It is truth that a happier person lives an extended life and is in better health than someone who is always concerned about something, upset, and unhappy. The human body was not made to handle stress all the time. That is where disease comes from. Look at the word, ?dis? ?ease?. That means there is not ease in the human body, mental stress can be the cause. Music could be the fix.

Music can be enjoyed by all. How great do you feel when you hear your favorite song come on the iPod or radio? How does it make you feel when you hear a song you do not like? Not that good right?

Let us talk about movies. What about scary flix, what kind of soundtrack do they have? Some play really scary high pitched, quick paced scary music, others have gotten smart and play NOTHING musically. This is smart because mentally, without music your mind wonders and it allows them to put more suspense behind the movie. Do you remember the Blair Witch Project? It was a low budget flick, and done with no soundtrack. Somehow it still was one of the most popular and watched horror flix of the time.

What about your feel good flix? Next time you get a chance, watch Disney's Enchanted? It is a musical all in its own that has light, fluffy, dance in the street, kiss your neighbor, sweet music. It makes me feel very caring

and uncharacteristically in the mood to hug a chipmunk. The producers knew what they were doing with this. As with most Disney movies the soundtrack is crucial. It puts the movie watches in a positive mind frame and gives them something to look forward to.

What about action flix, what type of soundtrack do they have? I would say techno, heavy, fast paced rock soundtrack? Think about one of the best action movies ever ? The Matrix. The theme song is a bass guitar with a

fast paced riff. It puts you in the mind frame to do some damage! Not necessarily a positive attitude, but still, makes me happy for the time being.

So, how do you tie this all in to being healthy? Find out what makes you happy and concentrate your efforts on that sort of music. Do not try to trick yourself; you know what it is that makes you feel the best. Enjoy the

knowledge that you now have on living just a little bit healthier with music and share this with your friends.
