How To Lose Fat

Learning how to lose fat can seem overwhelming at first. But if you keep it simple and learn why you are fat, you will probably have an easier time losing and keeping it off.



Changing any habit including diet is hardest during the first few days. This is normal for anyone. The problem arises as intense cravings take over. On top of this, we are bombarded with the marketing of light foods or fat free foods that do not work. Often, these foods are no better than their regular counterparts. (Think about it - will "light baloney" help you lose weight?)

In America, 68% of the population is obese, creating an epidemic. This trend is not lessening, but growing. We blame it on poor diet, genetics, hormonal imbalances and a general lack of self-control. All of these can be factors in having excess body fat or weight gain. Modern diets and weight loss drugs are not working if the problem is growing. It is time for a new way of thinking.

For the past years, you have been given bad information. All of us have been misguided. For example; we get fat from eating too many calories. If it were this easy, you wouldn't see so many starve themselves only to not lose weight. Another flaw with this thinking is that you are not told what kind of calories. You will not lose fat with a diet of 1200 cookie calories, for example.

Another big lie is that all fats in food are bad. There are people even today who think avocados make you fat. We have now figured out there are different kinds of fat. If you don't consume what are considered "good fats," you can run into a variety of problems from depression and hormonal imbalances to heart disease. Good fats such as the Omega 3's and Omega 6's are necessary for good health and will even help you lose fat.

The biggest lie you've been told is that your body can cleanse itself whenever it needs to. A "board certified nutritionist" even claimed that you can consume food with toxins because whatever your body doesn't need, it will cleanse out. This is simply not true. He is claiming that if you eat what your body doesn't need, such as excess fat and calories, your body will simply eliminate it.

This is proven wrong every single day. Too many people are overweight and can't lose fat. This is because if you eat too many calories, your body doesn't eliminate them. Your body stores them! In addition, it is not just a matter of calories. It is the kind of calories that also counts.

Many foods are processed and laden with chemicals used to process them. In addition, the body doesn't have genes encoded to know what to do with these man-made chemicals. Why is this bad? It is a known fact that toxins from chemicals and even heavy metals are stored in fat and the fluid surrounding fatty areas.

The truth is that your body needs help cleansing. As your body becomes over-burdened, it becomes suppressed and cannot do what it is made to do such as eliminating waste or cleansing. It is proving to be true that stored toxins can make it more difficult to lose fat. Recent studies have uncovered the fact that certain toxins interfere with hormones and can even mimic hormones.

Now the worst news - we are animals and all animals get parasites. Just because our technology is more advanced and chemicals abound doesn't make us immune to this problem. If this were true we should also be immune to bacteria and virus. But, even though we cannot see them, we know they exist and can hurt us, so we take precautions and even take antibiotics to combat the problem.

Parasites are a common problem which is ignored by the medical community. This is a gross subject and we don't want to talk about it. But ignoring a problem will not eliminate it. The truth is that humans have taken action to combat parasites for centuries. Older cultures have used different forms of parasite control from taking regular garlic cloves to eating pumpkin seeds on a regular basis. It is only modern society that ignores the problem.

Have you ever wondered why we can't overcome our cravings, or why we are all addicted to junk food? If self-control was an inborn problem for humans, we would have eaten ourselves into extinction long ago. A fact is that parasites excrete waste products which can accumulate in your hypothalamus. This waste buildup can inhibit function, causing your body to store excess fat instead of eliminating it.

If you are serious about losing fat then you need to eliminate what is making your fat. Cleansing your body and taking herbs for a parasite cleanse can help many people. You can help your body cleanse by eliminating junk or processed food, eating more fresh vegetables, fruits and unprocessed whole grains and drinking plenty of fresh water. When used properly, this type of program can help you stay healthier, younger, have more energy and lose the fat for good.

So here's what "social support" means, and how to get it.

Without friends, its hard to do anything. Not only fitness goals, but really any goals in life. For example, to achieve your business goals you have to have support of other business minded people to help you.

If you want to stop drinking you've got to hang around people that don't drink. In this day and age, our social groups are a lot different now. There's a lot more internet based, for better or for worse, but the positive power of these internet based groups can be huge, especially now as they get more specific.

Going on the internet can help. If you use the Turbulence Training member forums, you'll get the best help. There are forums specific for moms that are trying to lose body fat.

So, we're able to get more specific now and that way you don't have to go through a lot of various stuff to get to the specific stuff. You just go right to the specific stuff that's helping you with your specific problem. So there's all sorts of good stuff out there on the internet so hopefully people will be able to find it. But these networking sites and forums and that type of stuff are very, very helpful.

Social support means getting at least one person, and preferably a lot more people, to encourage you, check up on you, motivate you, keep you in line, and keep you on track. You need to be accountable to these people. You need to state your goals to these people.

By doing this, you will have a greater chance of success. You can also workout with someone to get the maximum benefits of social support.

Scientists know that partnering up with a friend will help you lose fat.

So stick with winners. Partner up with someone to get help and get their success to rub off on you.

You sometimes need to pay someone for the right social support. Research shows that being accountable to an authoritative figure also increases your chance for success.

And finally, although there isn't a research study to support me, I know that hanging around the right people will help you lose fat, while spending time with the wrong people will stop you from reaching your goals.

For example, if you continue to hang around beer-drinking, wing-eating friends 4 days of the week, expect to have a beer drinker's body.

Now, I'm not saying you can't have one special night out per week, but I am saying keep it to one night out, and limit the beer and wing intake.

Sacrifices have to be made, but it is a lot easier to make them when you have a social support team that is there helping you choose the right foods and do the right workouts.
