1) Be sincere and passionate



If you're honestly attracted to her, let her know - whisper it in her ear, allowing her to feel your breath on her neck, if you know her well enough to get that close. Just as you would be turned on if a woman told you that she found you appealing, women feel the same.

Don't feed her lame pickup lines or tell her what you think she wants to hear. Just tell her how you feel about her. The degree to which you share your feelings depends on your relationship, of course. If you've only recently met, don't go overboard with the compliments or tell her that you're in love - instead of being charming, that'll just come off as creepy.

But you'll earn points with her if you're willing to simply say, "I'm very, very attracted to you" - women need the occasional ego boost as much as men do, and if you make her feel beautiful then she'll want to spend more time with you.

2) Be confident

If you're the shy type, don't fret. Many women like quieter, more self-effacing men. But if your shyness stems from a lack of confidence, you may find it difficult to attract the woman you desire.

Women like assertive men who know what they want. If you want to convince a lady that she should date you, you have to convince yourself that you're a good catch first!

Confidence is difficult to fake, but you'd be surprised how effective simple faking confidence can be - if you put yourself in situations that you'd normally find intimidating and discover that nothing bad happens, soon you really will be as confident as you appear.

3) Be spontaneous

Women love to be kept guessing. They like the unexpected and crave surprises. Time and time again, you'll hear women say they want their men to be more spontaneous - it's worth remembering.

The reason "nice guys" often lose out to more dangerous types is that they're exciting and unpredictable. That doesn't mean you need to run out, buy a motorcycle and get a tattoo.

But surprise with flowers for no reason or a night out at her favorite restaurant when she's not expecting it - keeping her guessing will keep her interested!

4) Have a good sense of humor

In polls where women are asked to choose the qualities they find most attractive, "sense of humor" is always at the top of the list. You may not be the handsomest fellow in the world, but if you can make her laugh, you've gone a long way towards becoming attractive in her eyes.

Laughter increases serotonin production and releases endorphins - the chemicals that trigger the pleasure center in the brain.

If you can make her throw back her head and laugh with delight, she'll want to keep seeing you. While men tend to gravitate towards women who appeal to them visually, women often fall for smart, funny men, no matter what they look like.

5) Be powerful

Okay, you may not have much control over that. But power is an aphrodisiac - as evidenced by all the average-looking bankers, lawyers and politicians who attract young, beautiful women. But even if you're not a corporate executive or a rock star, you can still convey an air of confidence that makes you appear powerful.

When you walk into a room, pretend you own it. Unless you get carried away and act like a self-centered boor, you'll find that your newfound confidence in irresistible.

Keep in mind that each woman is unique, and what it is that turns one on may not work for another. Women don't come with a universal "on" switch - some women love men with big muscles, others hate them. Some like cocky guys, others prefer shy wallflowers. But if you're best, most confident you that you can be, there are women out there who'll be as attracted to you as you are to them.
