I know - it should be a given, shouldn't it? But some people may overlook this important factor initially. There are many different places where you can buy printer ink. Simply make sure that you get a good deal, and make sure that you are buying ink for your specific printer brand and model.

There are a couple of different forms of ink available. You can buy ink cartridges, which are manufactured depending upon the type of printer that you own.

Another option is the inkjet refill kit. These kits allow you to use cartridges and bulk ink together in order to print in a more cost effective, quantitative way. Bulk ink systems allow you to print more for less!

2.Paper

There are many different kinds of paper that you can use with your inkjet printer. Each type of inkjet paper can be used for various reasons.

Gloss paper is perfect for printing pictures and photographs. The gloss paper yields a high quality, photographic image that will allow you to print out all of those cute pictures that your friends and family keep emailing you.

Matte paper also yields high quality, photographic images; however, this type of paper doesn't have a shiny, glossy appearance. This type of paper is great to use for your daily projects.

3.Cables

Most ink printers come with the cable that is used to hook the printer up to your personal computer. However, if something goes wrong and your cable is lost or damaged, then you will need to purchase your own cable.

USB cables are used to connect USB printers to your computer. They are the most popular and widely-used type of cable, and they come in different lengths so that you can ensure that the cable has the ability to reach from your printer to your computer.

If you need to purchase supplies for your printer, make sure that you deal with a trusted, professional business. Pay for quality, but be sure to get the best deal possible.

Keep in mind: for the highest quality prints that you can produce, you must make sure that you have the right ink, paper and cable. So be sure to do your research!

Intermecs barcode printers are perfect when labels are required on demand in high production areas, the type of paper used makes the label almost fade proof. The quality will be constant from the first label to the 1,000 label. They are also more economical, since they only consume the paper.

Now the only problem is if you put a printer that is worth a few thousand pounds in a heavy wet environment, you will soon find that certain parts on the printer fail and due to the extreme wet conditions, the manufacture will not cover the printer for repairs under the standard warranty. So you are left with an expensive printer that needs new parts, at your cost.

On the other hand, if you put an industrial printer in to a wash down area, such as in a food processing plant, the best option is to protect it with a protective printer enclosure, this eliminates the printer coming into contact with water, even the cable access is waterproof. No matter how industrial the printer is, if it comes into contact with water it will cause an electrical short and possibly electrocute the operator.

The other benefit of using printer enclosures is that the life of the printer is increased, as the case keeps the printer in good order, making the return on investment much quicker.

Printer cabinets are manufactured from either stainless steel metal when the printers are going into wash down areas, otherwise a mild steel, powder coated enclosure would be ideal for warehousing or general manufacturing. The units come with a rollout shelf for ease of roll changes and maintenance.

Until one of the barcode printer manufacturers develops an affordable printer that is waterproof and dustproof, the only way to protect printers from hostile areas is to use printer enclosures.
