Digital games from the basic of tetris, super Mario, ping pong and other flash based games to massively multiplayer online role-playing games can be played for free or after paying some membership fess on both specialized consoles and good old personal computer (pc.) Since gaming consoles have developed web capabilities between August and December of 2002, the debate which one is better has gained steam.
Given the enormous popularity of gaming consoles such as PlayStation 2 and Xbox some industry analysts have suggested that PC gaming has seen its day and that consoles will be dominating force in future. But PC gamers have seen such claims biting dust since the days of Nintendo.
We weigh the advantages and disadvantages of playing games on a PC here:
PC Advantages:
• More variety
Yes, you can play a lot more games on a PC than on a console because PC lets you download a whole lot of them as against web enabled gaming console where you can download games only from authorized sites. It certainly is true in case of multiplayer online games. Not only are the vast majority of MMOGs designed for the PC, but PC gamers also have the option to play MUDs, Email games, browser games, and a wide variety of titles available as free downloads.
• Editing capabilities
So you have exhausted the variations offered by the game and you feel you are technically capable of making change. Go ahead just do it! But this can be done only with PC; no gaming console would let you do that if they want you to purchase the upgraded version next year.
• Better Ergonomics
Computer monitors look a lot better than TVs. Even with a top-notch television, console hardware is not currently designed to run games at PC resolutions.
• Better connectivity
Computer systems afford gamers whole lot of ways to connect with online population through Internet. This connection is restricted to proprietary services or software. Different brands of computer and event different operating systems generally communicate very well with one another. This is quite different from services like Xbox Live, for example, which is the only option available to Xbox users that want to play online.
• Technological Superiority
PCs are always on the forefront of gaming technology with their continuous updates coming in markets. And you need just replacement of some of the components and you are next-gen ready. While with gaming consoles it takes next big launch to be ready for the next generation games. Sadly these kinds of launches are few and far between.
When it comes play tetris online free , super Mario, ping pong and other flash based games or multiplayer strategy games for free, players can pit against each other only on a specific network of people playing on same types of consoles. There is no way for console gamers to jump into a fray on one of the countless servers available.
PC Disadvantages:
• A PC with respectable configuration is always more expensive as compared to consoles.
• Computers are also getting a little more user friendly, but eventually every PC gamer will encounter some technical complication, be it a device driver that needs updating or components that are simply incompatible.
• The truth is, installing a game on your computer is always a bit of a gamble. You never really know if it's going to work until you're actually playing the game, and even then, in the back of your mind, you're expecting it to crash at any moment.
• Unlike most console games, PC games have the potential to get ridiculously complicated. This can give a game depth, but it can also result in tedious arrays of keyboard commands and lengthy tutorials which one must endure to learn how to play.
• PC games are often not well-suited for playing on the couch, especially given that the mouse and keyboard are the preferred PC game controllers. Unlike console games, you also won't find many PC games that support two players on one machine at the same time.
Of course, there are many things to consider before deciding on a gaming platform. Foremost among these is deciding which games you want to play, how much money you want to spend, and whether or not you need a PC for other purposes. Go for a good computer if you want to do multi tasking, but for a die hard gamer nothing less than the latest console would do, would it?

Microphones that are used most of the time are unidirectional or omnidirectional. The music artists who use microphones for conventional purposes employ the microphones according to their needs. Unidirectional microphone is a perfect instrument for one speaker or someone who is using a solo instrument.
Unidirectional microphones are the ones, which catch the music when the sound is aimed at its center. Omnidirectional microphone, on the other hand, can pick up sounds from any direction. The electronic pick up, which captures the sound, is placed in center of a mesh-covered dome.
The basic purposes of the omnidirectional microphones are same that are to receive vibrations from outside sources of music, and convert them to electronic signals. One of the discrete identification of the omnidirectional microphone is their distinctive rounded end.
A heavy mesh bulb inside the mesh covered dome, which gives protection to the sensitive electronics, is the heart of the mic. If outside particles or potentially unwanted objects enter the filament of the mic, it will cause disturbance in the working of the mic. The capturing of the music will be disrupted; as well the quality will get distorted. The mesh acts as a filter and lets only the sound element enter through it. Sometimes, a foam rubber shield is also used to give extended protection.
This foam rubber shield has another propose, that is to bar the wind and heavy breathing noise. One of the major concerns for omnidirectional microphone is the capture of the ambient noise. The thick wire mesh usually minimizes this problem also.
When a group of singers or instrumentalists performs, they use the omnidirectional microphone instead of the other variations. The mic is placed in a top position, like suspending from a ceiling, to facilitate picking up of the music. The instrumentalists who are in the group, for example, choral group, vocalist, pianist or guitarist, can place the mic in a position, which suits best.
In case of solo vocalists, they can use the omnidirectional microphones and still get the amplified effects. Unidirectional microphones, on the other hand, needs to be positioned in a suitable arrangement and the musicians and speakers are needed to seat accordingly.
One of the major drawbacks of the mic is that being a non human device it cannot differentiate between wanted and the unwanted sound or music. So, most of the times, the environmental sounds are also captured and amplified like the music. There are musicians and performers who want the background noise of the audience to be amplified but more often than not this is unwanted part of the recording. Unidirectional mic, however, is best suitable in picking up the foreground music only and not the backgrounders.
There are other problems, too, that a performer needs to take into account in case of the omnidirectional microphones. If the mic is placed near the speaker it has the chance of picking up irrelevant sounds, which get amplified by the mic and produce awkward noise. However, keeping all the drawbacks in mind, the mic creates more solution than the problem it creates.
