The one most important factor in the prevention of jock itch is good hygiene around the groin area. Make sure you keep the area clean and as free of sweat as is possible. Also make sure the area is dry by using a clean towel. If you tend to play a lot of sports or are an athletic person try to wash the area as often as possible and try not to wear tight fitting clothes.
