You have newspapers that you can advertise in, which may not reach as many as the television ads, but it's quite a bit cheaper. How about a home-made flyer that you can either print up or computer generates, the way it looks more professional is the best way to go about making an advertisement this way.

There are those weekly flyers that come out in about every city that you can put a short little add into, and it's not really a bunch of money to advertise this way either. You can even write up little index cards and take them into laundry mats and advertise a service or product.

You might want to put up flyers around the neighborhood, or put them on the mailbox of some houses, like if you are advertising your new lawn mowing service. It may help you never know who might call you. When you go to advertise never underestimate the simple ways to advertise.

Even walking into a store and just telling the people behind the counter of your new business your starting up is a great way to advertise, you never know they might need what you are selling, or know someone who does.

Advertising is a way to make people notice you, and with all the ways that you can go about it you should be able to at least receive one or two phone calls. Heck even if you have to situate yourself in front of a store and hand out flyers to the people who are coming out of the store, you just need to make sure that you are always polite, no matter how nasty they get with you.

Or advertise online on your own website, or even post them into blogs that you post on several websites. With one of these ways to advertise you should be able to pick up a few phone calls and possible customers for your new business. In fact you might even get the best advertising the free word of mouth that passes from someone who has used your services and tells their friends all about you.

Leadership Is An Art

The main concept of “The Art of War” is the leadership and its significance in control and managing. Leader must discipline and direct. In the war according to Sun Tzu the leader only could win or loose the battle. And the power and the number of the army didn't make a difference to him. It becomes obvious from his book that he was a strict and demanding leader, whom army had to obey and follow his commands without questioning. In the war Sun Tzu was the authority. However, Sun Tzu did allow himself to be understanding and supportive to his army. The dignity and wisdom were a different side of his leadership style. At the same time he said that the devoted and loving leader is a loss for the army, as people follow him in disasters.

Sun Tzu was a wise leader and he emphasized the need to be always prepared, but yet try escaping battles if possible. His main idea was to plan and make strategies to limit the number of possible losses. As a wise leader and a human being he valued the human life. He obviously realized that in every battle soldiers will die, therefore he avoided battles if possible. Sun Tzu believed that the physical strength and numerical advantage did not make a difference in a battle. The army with the strong leader, even if the enemy is greater in quantity, can always win the battle if the right strategies are applied. His idea and philosophical view was that anything can be achieved and anything can be possible in the war if the right leader is in command and if the right strategies are implemented. The most important thing he brought up is the correct use of the resources and the correct combination of them. In “The Art of War” the golden mean is trying to be achieved in everything- in the number of troops, in the warrior's abilities, in the leader's attitude and behavior. And only the necessity of having a wise leader was unconditional and absolutely a must.

Sun Tzu managed to organize all the principles and the rules of the war, but as it appears, they could be used not only in the actual war itself but in the corporate war as well. The strategy techniques and the necessity of its implementation are widely used in business world today.
