Beauty is only skin deep. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'm sure you have all heard one of those sayings at sometime in your life. But sometimes no matter what you do, what you eat or how hard you exercise, people will have those troublesome spots on their body that they will simply develop a complex about. This complex overtime can be more problems than it is worth as soon it will start to effect their self-esteem. For these individuals, liposuction may be the answer.
First off you have to understand, liposuction is not for everyone. There are some criteria that most reputable doctors will insist on prior to having liposuction surgery. One of the main criteria that these doctors lean to is that you should be close to your calculated weight and be in decent shape as liposuction is best used for those diet-resistant areas of fat on your body. You can exercise and exercise sometimes and those little bulges and pockets simply will not disappear. What liposuction does is quite basically reshape a persons body by permanently removing those localized fat deposits. Can you still gain weight after liposuction? Absolutely, just not where the fat cells were removed. Because of this, the popularity of liposuction surgery is immense.
That being said, one of the real purposes of this article is around the cost of the liposuction procedure. Since liposuction is deemed an "elective" cosmetic surgery, most insurance companies will not pay for a liposuction procedure. You are on your own with this one. But that is not to say you are all alone as you do have options. It is just more like a regular purchase than a co-pay Dr. visit. One thing you need to realize though is that most of these doctors require upfront payment for services.
The first option and probably the best option for anyone is cash. Cash is King. If you don't have the money in hand, don't get the surgery that you cannot afford as it is an elective surgery anyways. Take your time and save up for it. Pay for it all upfront and enjoy your life and self-esteem boost when the surgery is complete and not have to worry about payments when it is all said and done. One way to look at it is like this, you are not buying a car or house so why would you want those kind of payments for the next few years. You pay for it and it is all done with no interest and no finance charges.
Secondly, you could charge it on a credit card. Most doctors that perform liposuction surgical procedures accept credit cards. Heck, plastic (cosmetic) surgery, plastic card, what's really the difference. Well, the difference is that not only are you going to be paying for the surgery, you are also going to be paying the interest rates on the card as well so in the long run it's going to cost you more. Even if you do get one of those "no-interest for 12 month cards", most people won't have the will to complete the payments before those 12 months are up and will generally being paying all the interest.
Also, there are specialized places that will finance your liposuction surgery. You'd have to apply like any other loan and get approved. But once again you will be falling into that trap of interest or finance charges and wind up paying more for the surgery than if you would have just paid cash.
As a final word for thought, liposuction has become one of the top surgeries performed in the States. It's effective on all areas of the body from your chin to your calves. Knowing that, why would you want to be in debt up to your eyeballs for a procedure performed on your waist. Pay cash if you're going to do it and relax and enjoy the new you once it's done.
Low Cost Self Storage
Ever heard of product placement in movies? The star walks into the kitchen, opens the refrigerator door and pulls out a can of Coke. The concept had it's modern beginnings when E.T. was lured from his hiding place with Reece's Pieces. And it reached its zenith in the movie Castaway (the whole film could have been seen as a subtle infomercial for FedEx). Corporations pay money for that sort of stuff. And you can understand why. It's the equivalent of an endorsement of the product by the star or the movie itself.
How can you do that with your self-published book? It's not difficult. I know one author who wrote a book on business etiquette and mentioned several specific business machines. Before she self published the book, she went to the manufacturer, let the director of marketing know about the product placement and asked if they'd like to sponsor the publication of the book. They did.
Another author wrote a romance that took place on a wonderful Caribbean island nation. She sent the manuscript to the director of tourism and asked if they'd like to either sponsor the publication of the book, or buy 3,000 copies for $10,000. They chose the later, but $10,000 underwrote the entire press run of 6,000 copies. The author got 3,000 copies of her book for free!
In each case, the author asked the sponsor or buyer for only one condition. The self-published books the sponsors received for their financial involvement could only be either given away free, or sold for the full cover price. That way, the author was never undercut on price.
Would major companies, government agencies and other large entities really want to be involved with your self-published book? Hey, if you take a look at the cost of advertising, the cost of self-publishing a book is cheap! $20,000 for a single page in a national magazine. And then you come along and give them a promotional tool that has the legitimacy and the integrity of a published book, at a price that's almost insignificant when compared to their total annual budget.
These steps will make it easy for you.
Make sure your book is complete, but in manuscript form.
Make a list of 20 companies that could benefit from the topic, direction, setting, entertainment value, or information your book has. Make one copy of your manuscript and insert specific product placement throughout the book. By product placement, I mean specific products, or specific strategies that some companies use, or locations, or whatever you think puts the idea of the product before the reader.
