With the current economic malaise in the UK it is understandable that so many people are choosing to emigrate to New Zealand. Additionally due to the large agricultural industry in New Zealand, short term labour is always in high demand; however longer term positions are available with the right qualifications, for instance those with attributes in wine making can be employed in the country's burgeoning wine industry. That is not all, the trades, such as building, plumbing and electricians are also needed, showing that it is not just professionals, but tradesmen as well who are needed in New Zealand.

In terms of the Kiwi society, the inhabitants believe in one ethos; this is to work hard, and play even harder.
