I am asking "Are you living the life you want to live at this point in time?"
Make a list of the things you would like to be part of your life. Include things that are important to you -- time with friends/family, spiritual or religious life, play, study, work, etc.
Prioritize them. Be reasonable, according to your current situation.
Now, take a look at a typical week or month you are currently living. How many of the things on your list show up on your schedule?
Does the time each item gets coincide with the priority you gave it on your list?
If not, no wonder you are anxious! You are thinking about one life and living another. If spending time with your family is rated #1 on your list and you spend less than 20 minutes a day with them, you can imagine the anxiety that might evoke.
Maybe it is time to reevaluate your list, or your schedule. You choose. Even though you might have to compromise on certain things due to your current situation (money constraints, time constraints, kids, school) realize that your goal is a work in progress and just do your best to work toward that goal.
Sometimes just knowing that you have a goal and you are working toward it can provide some peace and calm in your life!
