I am sure many of you heard of the phrase "positive thinking". For those who do not have any clue what I am talking about, positive thinking is simply thinking positively, being optimistic. Well, you may think that being optimistic is easy. Yes, it is easy to be optimistic when you are in a very good mood. When you are in a sour mood, thinking positively is the last thing you will do. So, now we are going to talk more about positive thinking and what it can do for your life.
Being optimistic, we formed positive emotions and these emotions are crucial in broadening our thinking. In times of trouble, it is important to be optimistic. Imagine that you think negatively, your mind automatically focus only on generating these useless negative emotions like anger, frustrations and depression. However, if you think positively, your mind widens up and will work diligently to think of solutions to get you are of any problems.
I am sure you want to know how to create an effective positive statement and so let's get on to it. First of all, I want to let you know that creating a positive statement is extremely easy. The toughest part is keep up to your own promise to repeat it daily. Not many people can do that. Present tense is a must in your positive statements. Also, remove any negative thing in your positive statement. Do not say things like "I am not fat". Change the whole thing and say it like "I am fit and extremely healthy." This is a very important point you have to remember as your brain does not registered negative things. So, when you say "I am not fat." Your mind will read it as "I am fat".
Now that we are done with creating an effective positive statement, we will move on to some exercises you can do regarding positive thinking. One excellent activity that you can use to practice positive thinking is doing positive affirmations. This effective and great exercise just simply requires you to repeat your positive statement everyday. Best time to do this exercise will be in the morning before you start to do anything. This exercise not only energizes you but also gives you motivation. It also increases your concentration as this activity also reminds you of your goals.
Besides positive affirmations, you can also listen to positive and motivational music. They can be a source of inspiration and motivation for you. Your car is a great place to start listening to positive music as most people spend lots of time on the road.
The next great activity you can do is to fill your workplace with positive energy. You can do just there by putting up positive posters up in your workplace. This not only reinforces your positive thoughts but acts as a great motivator. Now that you have some knowledge on positive thinking, you are on your way to your route to success in life.
